Good to see progress. I'm restoring the body and interior on my Tuscan, the chassis looks good on mine. Search on Pistonheads for 'For the love of Tuscan (project build)', might come in handy when the body is back on👍

Great to see you posting an update! I’d be interested to hear your opinion of Sportmotive when the work is all done as they are relatively close to me too. I find Ian is always helpful on the phone.

They’ve been great. They did my servicing before as I’ve driven it around for a over a year before embarking on this journey. And pretty close to me which is unusual for specialist garages

So anyway, I started blasting

It will need one more blast after repairs before paint. That’s expected though, bits of surface rust will always appear over time.

Excellent work a proper job, l did the body off rebuild on my chim in 2012, l too had the chassis shot blasted twice. I went for zinc primer and powder coat, l welded small brackets with m10 studs onto the front and back outriggers, fitting bolt on chassis protectors front and back, it still looks brand new.

Would you recommend the blasters at Brockton? I have seen the sign but never been in, and there are times I could do with bike frames being blasted clean (rather than just having it done at the same time as the powder coating)

Be good to understand this more :) what the brackets were for - the protectors?

They seemed to do a good job. Just rocked up. They came back and said it would cost a bit more as it took ages to get the old costing off: fair enough. Good and responsive
