Oh I feel you with the hair! I now wear it short-ish but when I had the butt-long hair, I had to brush twice a day otherwise I got mats too. It is beautiful but it is a lot of work! 💇♀🌟🤩 Regarding the relapse. I recommend you look into alexithymia. It is something more associated with autistic people but probably around 10% people in general have it as well. Dr K from HealthyGamerGG channel formerly worked with people with addictions and said that it is normal and common that relapse comes seemingly out of the blue. It is important to be extra gentle with yourself, try to stay in touch with your emotions and not be too hard on yourself. Also AA is not the only way how to manage addiction. If you don't want to do it, then maybe you can try to find alternative ways to deal with the relapse. Maybe you can let your therapist recommend you something. It's just important to find some actual help because you now probably really need it. Wishing you the best of luck Rachel 🤗💚

Right!! Hair can be such a pain but I also like how I look with it long... I'll look into alexithymia. I'm actually questioning whether I may be autistic right now, actually. I'll look into Dr. K's channel too. Yeah, I know AA isn't the only way... and I appreciate your comment very much. I'm doing well as of now and in therapy twice a week. It's really helping. I hope you're well!

I would recommend doing DBT. I've done it for a year now and it's been a game-changer.

I can't understand the video completely due to my language problem. English isn't my native tongue. What really happened? Did you take a long break from the meds? I'm on Methylphenidate xr 18 mg for almost a month and it's been a life changing experience so far. I'm optimistic that I could teach my brain new skills during this phase which could help me get off of my meds someday in the future. It's all thanks to people like you Rachel that I got the courage to seek treatment and take meds for my ADHD.

Thanks for your comment Hari. This video was about me relapsing on alcohol! I'm SO glad your methylphenidate has changed your life... have you seen any specific changes you want to share? I'd love to hear!

@@rachelanita Yes Raechel. Major change that I experience is I can sit for a long time and concentrate on my studies which was absolutely impossible before meds. Before meds I used to stick with one topic for weeks and months. Now I feel like I am moving forward. I am able to complete almost 3 subjects in a span of about one month.

@@rachelanita Earlier when someone speaks to me and even though I look straight into their face trying to listen My mind would wander about somewhere else. Now I am not facing that issue.

Friend, I know AA feels like a mountain of emotional work. It definitely is. But that groundwork really creates a lot of safe guards on your sobriety. So please consider going as soon as you can muster the energy. AA would be such a great buffer against those relapse thoughts. Calling a sponsor as soon as little thoughts like that appear is so good for protecting yourself from bad decisions. I wish you all the best. 💜
