I was rooting for Peabnut as a mega supporter, but I have to hand it to Dabuz for taking the win over him and taking the tourney afterwards. Congrats to him. I went back to watch the TamaP games after last week's video. TamaP and Lima are night and day in terms of gameplay styles yet they're both potent and dangerous (I feel like I should look at Bloom4eva's games again to better understand her differences). The discussion regarding the burst strength of the ABK at the ledge was definitely a key factor in how TamaP played against Miya. I'm tempted to pick her up to understand how she plays. It would be interesting if Tweek picks her up since it seems as though both TamaP and Lima have an issue of being greedy at times (TamaP threw leads away in attempt to end games early against Miya with Witch Time + Dair edgeguards, and Lima keeps accidentally hitting the taunt button) while Tweek is super disciplined to not overextend or take super big risks. But we have enough Bayos tbqh.

@@nathanlevesque7812 in practice it really bad for steve but one or two mistake can lead to death over to course of an 8-7 minute set a lot can happen . the real problem is when they are both camping Sonic should approach to some degree at even stocks and bad things happen when you approach steve

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if there was a Bayo with the neutral of Lima, the edgeguarding of Bloom, and the punish game of Tama, people would start saying she's top 5 (and I'd still say she's not even top 10)

I’d switch bloom and Lima. Bloom is known for having the rock solid neutral/ledge trapping/picking the right moves, Lima has the better more aggressive edgeguarding and kills earlier

I hate Bayonetta in ultimate but that's because this was my introduction to the character. I played a little bit of Smash 4 online before ultimate but I didn't run into them for some reason.

20:52 This a big misconception about Min Min that I think Pink would correct if he were here. Min min is not a defensive character, she's a glass canon. She needs to be played super offensively to get the most value out of her kit, like Doramigi. This is why Dabuz doesn't resonate quite so well with the character, because he does tend to play defensively

she's a defensive character. She just gets heavily rewarded offensively for zoning like any good zoner lol their burst options make or break them

@@lokks2130 she can be played defensively, but that's not the best way to play her. Dabuz plays min min to keep the opponent away, Doramigi plays Min min to set up the edge guard situation to take stocks as early as possible

@@lokks2130I think her being a defensive character is a very common misconception because people associate long range characters in smash with defense. How many times have you ever seen a min min set go to time? I literally don’t think I ever have. If MinMin was a defensive character she would be at her best retreating and zoning the opponent, but Minmins best position is standing in center with her opponent at ledge and then she pushes them off and gets an edge guard, which inherently means she has to fight for center which isn’t what a defensive character wants to do.

​@@trombonegamer14 What that means is that Doramigi plays advantage state way better. Adv state =/= being an offensive character. It's like saying Sonic is aggressive because when you get the hit you don't let up... even if you camped the entire time before in order to get that hit.

Lots of competition in Ultimate with there always being up and comers. Shadic used to be in that spot after all. Teaser has been good for a bit just hasn't broke out at big tournaments but he did do well at 4o4s in the past with wins on Kola, Fatality, Wrath, Mugen, Jahzzo etc. I've heard of Geist before too but yeah this was definitely his best event. He's beaten people like peak Kurama before.

Corrin is hella slow which both Bayo and Samus takes advantage off. Corrin also has to jump to use her broken aerials, which Samus and especially Bayo takes advantage off. Corrin pretty antimeta but she has flaws other characters take advantage off
