This was so emotional for me to watch. Like Bennett, I’ve lost my older sister too. She was murdered two years ago when I was 16 and my family still has not received justice. She’s such a strong girl and I know both of our older sisters are taking care of us from above!

I loved the artwork for Arbor. I lost my oldest brother in 2010 and my grandmother in 2012. While my brother's death was sudden and my grandmother's was peaceful, losing them both so closely together took a toll on our whole family. I kept the memorial poem we created for my brother and the framed brass praying hands that I would see every time I went to my grandmother's house. Those two pieces of art have been with me through my adventures in life, and will be a part of every new place I go. This is the most emotional response I've had to a video, because it hits so close to the heart. I had to stop while typing this several times since I was crying so hard.

Amazing that Kate visualized this whole room, including the built in Joey built. So great Bennett has her own room now and not "her sister's room she uses". Her sister would definitely want that for her. Think it was a bit of a shock to the mom to see the old room gone and a new room. Must be so hard to see the memories disappear. Can't imagine and hope no one else ever has to. Love all the touches. So clever of Kate to think of the nesting stools. Joey does a lot of the physical work and he does it so well. He takes true pride in his work and it shows. Kate's D.I.Y.'s are always such personal touches. They are a great team.

I think HGTV would be too controlling. Too many youtubers get bought out by bigger networks and it makes them totally change their style but that's just my opinion

I was in tears when Kate was tearing up. The room sybolizes so much love and meaning for both Bennett and Arbor. I was again in shock of how awesom the room turned out to be. I love this video so much because it has so much love and value in it. Once again Mr.Kate has done such a good job. I try diying but it never turns out how I want it to be. I am a 11 year old girl with long hair to my bottom...at school I shaved all of my hair off and I raised $747.70c for blood cancer... hearing that her older sister died from that, makes me proud of myself for doing the act I did.

My boyfriend’s sister died from Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2013. He was 15, she was 11, and their younger brother was only 5. I just wanted to make the point that I am so glad you gave this young lady a space of her own while still remembering her sister, because it can be easy to get stuck on the remembering part and forget that there are still other kids there who need attention now too. My boyfriend’s room turned into his sister’s when she got sick and so he lost something that was his own and for years after she died him and his younger brother had to sleep in a room full of her stuff because his parents refused to give it up . They were, and still kind of are, attached more to the memory of her than to the two kids they still have. We now live in our own apartment and his brother has gotten to change the room a bit to be his own now, and I think that is so important. Yes, it’s so sad and just awful that a child died, but the ones still alive are just as important and so it’s really key to help in the healing process that they have a space that is their own so they can be themselves rather than just the kid whose sibling died. So I just wanted to say thank you so much for remembering the sister with your beautiful painting while letting her be herself too. This was an awesome video to watch. Keep doing what you’re doing!
