Ice Planet full movie. SciFi movie, to some maybe the worst movie, but others say: "Hey, its science fiction, so anything is possible". I myself give this movie a 5 (out of 10). Nevertheless, enjoy.
This is an unsold TV Pilot, that arrived on DVD in 2003

If you went to a stage play, would you criticize the props because they were not real? Compared to the multi-millions spent by Hollywood, the rest can't really compete with certain things, but why don't we try to give credit to people finding creative ways to provide entertainment and innovative ideas for films. These people did many things quite well, and other things exceptionally well - when offering insults, why don't you try to offer a few complements to inspire others to continue to find ways to improve and entertain.

it does get a little annoying when people say things like 'well its good...for a low budget film." or for an animated film or for a black and white film or for a film that wasn't released in the last year. people seem to describe their critical faculties entirely through negation. When I saw the movie of "Into The Woods" my friend had to point out to me "oh that grass looks so fake". yikes.

Made for TV length and a very VHS cinematography. This movie wasn't enough to be really popular but was enough to be a very enjoyable distraction to life's conventionality. If you don't mind B grade fantasy in a science fiction environment this movie won't let you down. Plus it was a lot like Krull and I like Krull.🎉🎉🎉

I found it very enjoyable. It had a lot of potential also. I liked the cast mix and I feel it had good SFX for a TV pilot especially in that era. I can't imagine many people thinking 'worst movie' in any way, there are much worse movies showing up almost daily. They left enough mystery and danger for future development.

I noticed that most of the comments regarding the movie are based on assumption that it was a feature film. But, this was a pilot for the series. In light of that i think it could have been a really good. As far as the effects go, keep in mind that it was 2001 when it was made.

This was a really enjoyable movie to watch. It played like one of your typical space opera science fiction books. Keep in mind that THAT is how you have to watch it. You need to add in little bits here and there to give the movie the sense of completion and scope it was trying to cover. It was't perfect of course, it's a low budget film. But honestly if you enjoy science fiction books then you'll probably see the similarities and enjoy this.

I agree with what Mr. Goodall below said. After the film ended, I thought to myself, "What just happened?" Too much going on. But the first 30 minutes, when they are stranded on the planet, I had hopes for this story...but it slowly just got crazy. It had a little bit of Alien, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lost in Space, you name it. It never could decide which kind of movie it was. I laughed, I cried, I kissed two hours goodbye!

I am a fan of Science Fiction. Original writing and good acting help me enjoy Science Fiction in the movie format. This movie is in my top ten list for low budget projects - and when I read, after watching it, that it was made in 2000, my first thought was, how could the planet Earth have wasted 17 years and done nothing more with this amazing project? My thanks for a most enjoyable 82 minutes, as the time I spent enjoying this film enriched my time on this planet we all share, while in some very tense and politically challenging times. Thank you~!!

Science fiction is about possible future. Because the West has no future the only type of Science Fiction they can now produce are Doom & Gloom movies beside all the absolute vulgar destruction rage beside that - it's really sufficient to study current SciFi to know the future the West has - None -------- and it's a good thing what is to die.. to make room for something very different...and then there will be very different Fictions of the future.

The sci-fi ones remind me of like old Battlestar Galactica and buck Rogers or old school Dr who with the effects. Im enjoying seeing these. Has it ever occurred to you that Lucas isn't the only sci fi producer in the universe? Call it a brand, this is a different style and execution of the same concept. What I liked about it instantly is the fact that the effects weren't cheesy. Sure it needs more improvements on the storytelling side and perhaps putting more tension in the action scenes. Wes Studi was very effective and Shimono deserves credit for his character. All in all, the best part is that it isn't stereotypically Lucas.

Not sure if people are giving in to peer pressure in their comments or not. I don't see why this is so horrible. It was entertaining, kept my interest, and a decent story line. Yes - some elements were not straightforward in explanation, some of the special effects are not perfect, some ideas should have been presented better (kind of hokey), and some shots were obviously staged for effect. Sometimes the actors are lacking sometimes - but others made up for it. I'd watch it again for the story though, and I'd like to see some of those calling it "the worst" do as well. The props and sets were not bad at all - some were great. It would make a good series.

It's a great B movie! The less you expect out of it, the better it actually gets! I would have tuned in for the next episode had there been one....

I stayed until the end. The movie is very easy to watch. No moments where the acting is painful or it is too slowed paced to keep up. The acting was actually very, very good and the pacing was not the greatest, but it stayed in balance with the rest of the elements. Sure, the CGI is not the greatest. It was 2001. But the smaller scale CGI was done incredibly well for 2001. I think the only issue here may have been the story was weakly developed, but it was a great movie.

I quite liked that. Shame they weren't given more time to develop it. May have been all it needed to improve.
