The first piece shows their family and friends listening to their music, the second scene shows them playing in a garage infront of a bigger crowd, meaning small concerts and shit. Then finally they're on the room of the foundation they built and playing for everyone to see, and it collapses, so they go back to their roots, in the that same living room just them, no one else. Nothing to do with intimidation of boyfriends and shit, pretty sure josh is straight.

This is when Tyler and Josh started to gain mainstream attention. The roof: Blurryface. The fall through the roof: The hiatus they took from July 2017 to July 2018. Back in the living room: Trench. Other things I found throughout the video which are symbolic: The beginning (0:05) and the end (4:42) are both references to "Screen" from Vessel.
