Tom, you are a big, cook once, eat twice type person. When I make twice-baked potatoes I always make several extra to freeze. Then I can take out as needed to bake. They are just as good as the ones we have on day one.

I make mine very similar to yours only I cook 8 or more at a time. The ones we don’t eat that night I freeze them then vacuum seal 2 together and back in the freezer. Great for busy nights !

This is exactly how I do my twice baked potato with the exception that I use lots of choped green onions, and I add in the sour cream into the mixture. I have never tried to grate the onion, but I'll try it next time. Also I usually poke holes in my potato, as I was always told that they cook faster, I don't know if that makes a difference or not? But I plan to try it without holes the next time, because what you said about the moisture makes a lot of sense! I really enjoy watching you guys!😊

I’ve always loved these. I like to jump off and experiment. I’ve put things like capers, pimientos, of course, always green onions, chopped tomatoes, Mexicorn, bacon. Once, when they were fresh out of the oven, I’ve put sausage gravy on them! It’s awesome. I feel kinda like my best friend, Jane. She said, “I thought cream gravy was an after dinner drink until I was 16.” Lol As a side note, try spreading peanut butter on each side of pork chops and broil them. That, my friend, is great. Kind of roasted nutty tasting. I’m such a foodie. Just love to cook like y’all do! Take care!

I never heat up oven/house for 2 potatoes...waste of energy. Do at least 6 and use for another meal (fried, scalloped,potato salad, etc)

I made baked potato this week. No poking and nothing exploded. When I do twice baked I don’t wrap in foil or put oil. It crisps up the skin so it is more substantial. Thanks Tom and Melissa 🥔🥔🥔❤

A hint. For those who like sour cream, but have to watch their fat intake, A good substitute is unflavored yogurt. The flavor is the same. The calories are minimal.Your doctor will approve. Love your channel. keep em coming.

Put crumbled bacon and green onion on top of that when you bake it. The bacon get super crispy along with that little crunch from The Green Onion OMG, amazing! So glad I watched this video because I'm making them tomorrow I probably haven't made them in about 5 years. Thank you for get again a great recipe guys. You two should open a bed-and-breakfast or something. A lot of people would come to see you guys.. I know I would. If you were in a good area for a vacation or? I would totally come and rent the room like an Airbnb or something from you. And then do one dinner together. I love your videos and recipes. The salt warning is very sweet i was on an insanely low sodium diet for six months and there is a product called 'no salt' it has no sodium and tastes just like salt. You get the flavor without the sodium.
