I love the way you have a proper script that links car to car to car. Very professional and makes the video flow perfectly.

"Which I can't show you because of reflections"! Another nice presentation young fella. Those transverse 2200 straight SIXes were a real surprise to me when I first drove one years ago. Typical of the UK motoring media and their fashionable penchant for knocking home product at just about every opportunity, it was not given much of a good write up by any of that shower at the time. When I was given one as a loan car whilst my company car was being serviced, I was in for a shock. That car handled and drove very well for a relatively big car of the time and the engine in that one I had was a peach. Usefully spacious few cars then and now can match and very comfortable. I asked if it was for sale when I handed it back but, they wanted too much. One of life's "Regrets, I had a few" moments.

I think I love these cars more than the exotic super cars you see at other exhibitions. Its a miracle that they survived and restored to this level of condition given how bad they rusted. All of them are probably in high demand for TV programs set in the 70s. The Pennyworth series is set in the UKs sometime in the late 60s/early 70s and the cars they use for props are amazing. Great video.

Another great video, the way you link between cars is first class. Too many fantastic cars to go into detail from the engineering led Rovers of a time when Britain led the world's to that Clio Williams which was my teenage dream. As a 90's coupe owner myself it will come as no surprise that I'd really like to see non premium mainstream coupes to make a come back.

A great video Ed, just the right amount of time given for each car. I remember the release if what became known as the Princess, the range was just called the 18-22 series and I can just about remember the TV advertisements. Design was way ahead of it's time. As a school kid I was opened mouthed when I first saw one. I might be wrong (I usually am) but in my foggy memory the Princess versions ditched the 1800 and 2200 engines for the 'O' series 1700 and 2000 power units and as you say the old badge engineered manufacturer name was dropped. I remember the MKI Granada that was around about the same time that must have had great TV air time in the Sweeny TV series along with the cheaper Consul version if I recall correctly. Wow I'm getting old but the old grey sponge between my ears still has those fond memories when the world seemed a simpler place.

Absolutely fabulous video, Ed. Given that to me rear wheel drive is a must, my favourite of the cars you highlighted is that delicious Porsche 924S. The 924, like the Volvo 240, has as close to perfect weight distribution as it is possible to get, making the car a very neutral handling car with surprisingly high cornering limits. If I were in the market for a sporty car, the 924S is the entire list. What is neat is that the late 80s S has the 944 engine, so has the same horsepower as the earlier 924 Turbo, but with better driving dynamics. Again, thanks for the effort, Ed. You always manage to make the most interesting of videos. Well done.

Yet another great Ed presentation and much enjoyed. Though I once scared many people in my R5 Turbo which went like proverbial off a shovel, it's only fault was the turbo super heated the under bonnet, vaporised the fuel so it was a pig to start if I was clumsy enough to stall it. But god, it was an underwear-changing fun car ideal for Cumbrian B roads! Thanks for all you do, Robert

That VW1300 you feature @11:00 is quite the thing - in Eau-de-Nil it's got the bigger windows, the slotted wheels with flat hubcaps and the optional left door mirror. My Dad (gone now) had a '65 1200 and later a '68 1300 and two 1302S. Possibly my favourite is the '67 VW1500 - big windows, the raised engine lid with the curved front.

I’m always extremely impressed with your research and in depth knowledge of your subjects. My memory is a bit hazy on some of the details but having owned a Audi 80 Sport and 3 Porsche 924 in the 1980s, but I never owned a 924s. I’m certain the engine was quite different with the 924 engine coming from an earlier Audi 100. The 924s was quite a different car from memory, I actually thought the 924s had the later Porsche 944 engine. I loved my Audi 80, it was a very well made, comfortable and reliable car. I loved the 924, I had a Signal Green 1978, a Guards Red 1979 LHD and a Metallic Red 1983 all of which were a few years old when I got them and were real bargains. The VW/Audi underpinnings of the 924 was very appealing to me, mechanically quite simple and very reliable. The interiors were quite poor quality and the dashboard cracked and the plastics broke. I also have owned quite a lot of those other cars, including a Princess which was a good car for me.. even if the doors did fill up with water when it rained.

I owned a P6 3500 V8, red with black vinyl roof it was an amazing machine. I also owned a Porsche 924 which again I loved and was a much underrated car. It must have been attractive because it was subjected to attempted thefts on 3 separate occasions once actually from inside my garage. I sold it.

Love the walk round videos of shows, its great for those of us that can't make it in person. Just a tiny detail, the porsche 924S used the same porsche designed 2.5 litre engine as the 944 only in slightly detuned guise, assuming the car you featured wasn't just a base 924 2.0 with "S" graphics. I'm sorry but I've been a car anorak a lot longer than you! Keep up the great work though

The Strada was advertised at its launch as having been "Handbuilt by Robots", to the strains of "Largo al factotum" from Rossini's "Barber of Seville". Does anyone of my vintage remember the "Not the Nine O'Clock News" spoof version, captioned "Designed by Lasers - Built by Robots - Driven by Italians"? Both can, of course, be found elsewhere on this fine platform.

Can remember going to a Ford dealer many years ago (mid 2000's) to pick some parts and a customer was talking to the Parts Stores man asking for a pair of CV Joints for his Probe. "Four Hundred Pounds" came the Stores man's reply.... "Each". Customer almost had heart attack!!! The Clio looks the part (not a massive Renault fan really.... you have to be in mindset to work on them!!) My old Boss had a customer who bought his Clio Williams in for a Cam/ Timing Belt and my ask if he wanted the clutch doing as well because you have to drop the engine out in order to do the belt. Customer said "Nah"..... belt done and two months later he was back due to clutch slipping.... out came the engine again!!!

I remember driving the Strada (in Ritmo form) and being very impressed by it. However, from what I have heard, the conversion to RHD could have been better. As for the Alfa Nissan collaboration, a mechanic friend described it as what happens when two companies share their weaknesses and wherever possible keep their strengths to themselves!
