So crazy how long I’ve been watching the different translations in this woman’s life. When she first got to Korea she didn’t fully learn the language. She had a small apartment and was teaching us how to say things in Korean. She shared her teaching experience and then moved on. Fast forward…she was bilingual and decided she wanted to stay in Korea. Then she fully immersed herself into the culture and showed us besties, shopping hauls, hair and skin regimens. Then she did her eyebrows. Lol. She got into fitness and was on Korean tv. Now she’s married, and with kids. Girllll…the journey is amazing to watch.

Oh good luck! My Mom said it is really hard! She had 2 sets of fraternal twins. Boy/Girl then Boy/Boy. It's difficult but eventually you get used to it. Especially if your first kids are twins, you'll never know the difference.

Those names are perfect! Beautifully chosen. Regarding personalities, I've actually read that the loud, reactive babies are often introverts when they grow up and the quiet, laid back babies are often extroverted adults. The reasoning is that the fight-or-flight part of our brains, the amygdala, gets overstimulated more easily in introverts, leading to strong reactions as babies. With a future extrovert it happens less often because their amygdala is less sensitive. The book is called "Quiet" by Susan Cain, in case anyone is interested.

I hardly ever comment on videos but I just wanted to take the time to say watching your journey to motherhood been really amazing. I remember watching your video when you were talking about why you couldn't have kids and I remember being really struck by how vulnerable and open you were. OMG both names are AMAZING. Rubin Moon also can be percieved as Red Moon or Precious Moon(as Rubin is the slavic word for red ruby) or it can also be the religious meaning, still great. And Luna is the latin for Moon, also the moon goddess in roman mythology. Love them! In my culture (Bulgaria, Southeastern Europe) we name children after a relative, most commonly after a grandparent. The same name or tiny bit changed. All names have a great meaning tho. For example we have a lot of girls named Rada(Рада) or Radka(Радка) which are interchanged. If a grandmother is called Rada the grandkid can be Radka and vise versa. But most commonly it's used the absolutely same name as the grandparents-Rada. We trace back the same names thousand of years ago. If you're named Dimitur(Димитър) for example, you can be sure that this naem runs in the familly for a logn time. It would be so confusing at familly gatherings :dd so we also have the culture of using nicknames. But the nicknames are also common, just used to differentiate between small group of same named people. For example the name Georgi(Георги) has 10 nicknames that are common, the name Aleksandur(Александър) has around 10 too. I'm very interested at how other cultures name their kids.
