The two lodges rely on two different kinds of technology and cultures: the Black one feeds off atomic energy, fire and electricity, and communicates through radio. The White one, as we can see in the scene with the giant, uses clockwork mechanisms, bells and rings, and communicates through cinema or light-related kinds of language (probably silent or at least non-verbal). Furthermore, the Convenience store is a consumerist shop with gas pumps in the front, while the white lodge looks a lot like an old, beautiful theatre

It sort of makes me laugh now about how strict Lynch has been with spoilers. What would a spoiler be that would make any sense to anyone without actually watching the show? "The mother of all evil barfs up BOB when Trinity explodes in 1945, and the Giant, or maybe not the Giant, births Laura's soul/essence from his golden essence while floating on the ceiling of the Maybe White Lodge, and sends her to earth where perhaps she is hatched in an egg in the desert 11 years later as a frog/insect/creature with wings, or maybe that was BOB, or maybe something else, and the Woodsmen show up simultaneously and freak everyone out with murderous incantations over the radio, then walk into the darkness of the desert and disappear." SPOILER ALERT!

"A nuclear bomb births some kind of time glitch which makes some kind of alien which barfs one of the characters heads out, which is seen by a giant on a projector because of a weird bell that keeps ringing, so he starts floating and a galaxy comes out of his head that shits out what is presumably a human soul..." Yeah, it doesn't make any more sense in context.

@@BigDaddy-666 That video is only explaining one layer of Twin Peaks, it simplifies things a ton and forces details to fit the overall theory. It's "Engineers explanation of Twin Peaks" and Lynch certainly isn't engineer. It might be hard for people to believe how deep and genius Lynch is because most of the artists are just wheels in the capitalistic Hollywood, producing trash as fast as possible. David Lynch is true artist like Stanley Kubrick, though nothing will ever beat Kubrick. He won't compromise, and the amount of work he did to create the Return is staggering. Many aspects that the video assert as being thought out in the original series have no clues in the original series at all. Clues about lodge entities talking about them being reflected in TV screens happened on Fire Walk with Me film that was projected on theaters, not on TV. But certainly he is correct more than he is not. But there are much more to Twin Peaks, especially the film Fire Walk with Me and The Return. When it comes to David Lynch, and especially his magnum opus, The Return, and Stanley Kubrick, overestimating the level of these artists is impossible.

The theory that the moth is Laura Palmer's egg doesn't hold up. I don't see the woodsman going to the radio station to help the giant's plan. There are several indications than the moth is indeed Bob. First the egg seems to hatch in a desert touched by nuclear fire. And Bob is a fre spirit. Furthermore Bob is known for entering girls bedroom at night. And the white horse mentioned in the woodsman's incantation reminds us of the white horse that appears to Sara Palmer before she falls asleep when Bob visits Laura. What's more we can hear the horse when the woodsman walks into the night. I imagine the continuation of that story being the woodsman meeting with the Bob host asking for a light and the host replying "Fire Walk with me", like a passphrase.
@ManoloRibera0707 жыл бұрын
I also read that seeing the white horse might be a sign of being drugged or drug abuse, thats why Sarah palmer sees the white horse before "passing out" because if you remember correctly before the horse appeared Leland gave Sarah a glass milk or something. And correct me if I am wrong, but I think Laura saw the horse too in the movie FWWM.

I know the Crowley book Moonchild discusses the White and Black Lodges and though there is a power struggle between the two, it was never really a case of one being "good" and one being "bad". I think Evil can inhabit both. BUT Lynch is not using the Crowley version of the Lodges, so I could be wrong. The thing about Laura is she wasn't good- I'm not saying she didn't have good reason to behave the way she did, but she was a broken girl and hardly the match for something as malicious as Bob.
@theresnooneleft11697 жыл бұрын
Crowley pushed the notion that there was no true evil, that "everything goes". So I don't think his judgment of the lodges being "good" or "bad" means much. And I think the lodges are *with* the Evil, they are not just floating out there and get "inhabited" by it or not. There may indeed be a power struggle between them though, since that is how evil works. To maintain control in a hierarchy that is completely self-serving, the top of the pyramid has to foment constant fear, strife and conflict in the lower layers, while still steering the whole thing as a unified whole against Good/Divinity. But I think calling them "White" and "Black" lodges is certainly no coincidence, clearly meant to draw others into thinking "good" and "evil". Of the two, "White" is the honeypot or trap, and thus likely the greater evil, probably by far. I guess we'll see.

Surely, there's a duality presented through the Giant and the Mother. I like that Lynch has decided to give us the origin of the story. Another interesting question is Laura Palmer's orb. If I'm right, Mike stated that Bob has been around for 40 years (first or the second season, not sure) but Laura was 17 when she died so we have this time gap. However, I do agree that Laura is the key. I believe she's some kind of martyr, a person sacrificed to evil for the sake of good. Can't wait to see what's next :)

@tatehildyard53326 жыл бұрын
JaiProdz Plus it sort of undermines the tragedy of her suffering by basically declaring it was the higher orders plan for her to rigorously suffer 5 years of abuse before being brutally murdered and still having her be battered around even in the afterlife. I mean I get the meta implications by having the shows central maguffin made into an even more explicit maguffin but it seems like such a waste after the lengths Lynch has gone to to develop and deepen her character.
@MarvinFalz4 жыл бұрын
I don't like this idea either. Laura was a human being, and BOB and Judy and all the other entities are sort of real, but sort of symbols of the human psyche. The same with the Lodges. Sort of real, but sort of symbols for the dream space where the entities meet with your deepest self identity or with some function, like being a soul detective or something. Also, Laura's homecoming photo is a symbol for how most of the people in Twin Peaks saw her. Most of the people either didn't see or ignored her problems and her dark side. Laura's homecoming photo is like the nice looking front a house with a well-groomed lawn and a white picket fence in front of it. Looks all very fine and dandy. But inside, the house is rotting. Laura was more Black Queen than White Queen (reference to the Queen songs of the same titles intended), at least in her later years. I tend to think that the orbs of BOB and Laura symbolize a duality of the same sort as good Coop and bad Coop are two sides of one being struggling for dominance in the earthly realm. Of course, that interpretation throws out all other information given in The Return. And that's why I also tend to separate The Return from Fire Walk With Me from season 1 till Leland dies from the rest of season 2.

Cooper grimaced in horror at whatever she whispered in his ear; right after, she turned into a violently screaming apparition and was sucked away. (As punishment for saying too much? Maybe that's why Leland told Cooper to 'Find Laura' as he left the Lodge. She's in danger.). In the original whisper in the ear from Series 1, she told Cooper who killed her but he couldn't remember when we woke up. Tangential note: I've seen from a number of sources (most pressingly the Spotify playlist of the new season's soundtrack that updates after every episode), that The Giant - or rather who we know and assume to be The Giant - is a different character played by the same actor. I first found it a little suspicious that he was listed as ??????? in the credits, but apparently, that's likely intentional. The playlist refers to the theme when he levitates and creates the golden orb as "The Fireman." Which makes some sense, given he responds to the alarm that went off in what appears to be the White Lodge (though it has the same ocean as the Mauve Zone), and reacts to the creation of BOB, a creature known by fire (walk with me), perhaps creating Laura Palmer as the perfect counterpoint to BOB.

It would be hilarious if next Sunday, instead of airing the episode, it would just be a shot of the forest with the words INTERMISSION over it and it would just be that the entire hour since an episode is not airing next week. Or even better, have it be that but at the very very end, place a really important easter egg that'll be critical to interpreting the ending of the show.
@DethronerX7 жыл бұрын
hahaha and the easter egg will be the easter egg itself and a bunny will pop out. "He's the one who's doing it" : D

I thought there was no new episode Sunday July 2?

There isn't. We were joking about how this is technically the big "Intermission period".

the frog/winged creatures came out of eggs, not orbs. BUT if you look closer at the vomit stream, you can see the eggs in THAT. So they all came from the same source. I kind of assumed that everyone in town passed out, and creatures climbed inside them too.
@WowLynchWow7 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I think you're 100% connect. I was thinking along similar lines after I released this video. But the way you phrased, based on the visual evidence of what we were shown, you're correct about the eggs coming from the same source, and I believe you are correct in assuming creatures were running amok searching for sleeping mouths.
@theredheadsaidNYC7 жыл бұрын
But the woodsman in the radio station - his weird chant is what PUT people to sleep, in order for the creatures to climb in. So creepy!
@WowLynchWow7 жыл бұрын
Yep! It put everyone to sleep except the young girl. And if you're buying into any of what I said in the video, I think that all fits with woodsmen, Bob, and the various other evil (and eggs) the Mother coughed up - all sort of act as 'servants' to Her.

Charlene Jaszewski you are beautiful...
@Emulous797 жыл бұрын
The chanting making the people fall asleep reminded me a lot of a scene in Rob Zombie's The Lords of Salem. The hypnotic music in that makes all the women in that town congregate to an old theatre. Even similar to Village of the Damned where Midwich's women fall asleep and are impregnated by an alien force.

Senorita Dido has a resemblance to Madame Blavatsky . To really understand what's going on, you'd need to look into Theosophy. The Great White Lodge and all that.

The “mother” is Laura Palmer screaming and the vibrations of the scream was the manifestation of Bob through a dimension.

I'm pretty sure we'll get the awakening of Dale Cooper in the next episode.. Let's hope we'll get a full second half of the season in the town of Twin Peaks. The whole Dougie Jones timeline had a "sense" until this point but we need Cooper back in shape long before the end of the season.

Only if it has a purpose. I just want to see more of such quality show rather than that boring soap-opera like in season 2.

I get the feeling these first nine episodes were the problem between Lynch and Showtime when he almost quit. Showtime probably wanted to get right back to Twin Peaks but Lynch wanted to do this story. That would explain the extension from 9 to 18 episodes.
@connerfreeman96097 жыл бұрын
I think you might be right. The Dougie story was a little long winded at times, but I'm glad we got these episodes, especially 8.

I think we all should remember and be very GRATEFUL to Frank Silver and his FENOMENAL !!!! contribution to the success of Twin Peaks. I can't imagine Twin Peaks without BOB. It is the most terrifying and darkest Character I ever saw in my life. The face of PURE EVIL. Praises and HIGHEST RESPECT and ADMIRATION to FRANK SILVA!!!!!!!!!!

Also, the kid who kisses the girl toward the end of the episode -- did anyone else notice that he had very much the same physical form as the Giant. Look at his long arms and the way they hang at his sides. Could be nothing, but it stood out to me.

I don't think the Woodsmen are BOB's "colleagues" but his underlings. The Black Lodge spirits we are acquainted with live on top of the Convenience Store, whereas we see the Woodsmen living on the ground floor.

Ok , the girl is Miriam or Mary , the frog entity is the holy spirit impregnating the fifties Mary . The fifties Mary is Laura Palmers Mother , Laura Palmer is Christ consciousness and is killed (crucified) in series 1 , Bob is Satan ... There it all makes sense ..

bob (the evil force) can come into the body of the man (woman) if he or she allows that. we don't have to look for evil forces or good forces somewhere outside. look inside yourself. angels and demons are inside our souls. inside our bodies. each day of our lives we make a decision - which Cooper am I today???good??? or bad??? it depends on us. future depends on us.
@kimmolaine80697 жыл бұрын
My money goes to Bob still being with Evil Coop. It's the only thing that would make sense, story-wise. Also if you take a look at the gel with the orb that had Bob's essence in it, it was surrounded by eggs.

this Scooby doo episode from this clip just explained the the entire meaning of Twin Peaks from a talking Spaniel using the Black Lodge as a way to communicate from their dimensionality. the lodge of the Freemasons energetically channel places and entities off planet using its hybrid-bloodline humans to rule&reign, to operate the checker floored lodges for direct connection to mainframe using incorporated stolen Earth-native sacred rites/rituals (ancient as possible to get access humanity's consciousness; deepwebb by mapping its orbit and its influncing planets), which serve to them as a link of Earth frequencies of energy to Orion, Draco, Sirius, etc.. They perform Freemason rites everywhere, make it sacred and required, the cosmic way open, dimensions can be be monitored. Benefits from this are probably channeling (tech) knowledge, taking to the dead and inviting the dead from other planets/dimensions (demons, if u will), use of mathematical + quantum power that we call magic or science, white or black, as perception sees it This perception is based on a duality mindframe control system which the rest of native blood humanity must be kept at to remain as proficient as we were recreated to be. asleep inside a dream. the atom bomb detonated in the 40s, as seen from episode 8 of Twin Peaks from last Sunday, depicted in the most awesome terrifying way I've ever seen on film, makes the original film of the actual explosion look and feel cheap. the splitting of an atom bursts open an entire universe worth of of force and manifestation power, scaled to the quantum entanglement quantity of possibilities surrounding this single block of creation. Bob could probably just be only one version of one face of a 1000 headed beast...? Who in the world would want to rip holes in the Source Field other than evilminded individuals with Earth NOT on their minds. Earth isn't home to them, the Lodge is. Brotherhood and fellowship, allies and friends, the members of the Freemason and other affilliating orders are literally Family to eachother but dont know what that means. families are torn apart everyday in society and that seems to be the mission, world leaders are family who pretend to pretend to conflict. the suffering are it's the people, ordinary working dreamers like the main characters and protagonists of Lynch's films. they get pulled into a darkness that isnt familiar by people who appear to be in a class, corrupted by the dark force. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJalnISbjap9prc

The bomb, was more of a wake up call, for the fire man. These things like BoB(the psychopathic killer)were accelerated, but did not just emerge , at that point. Laura was part of a solution, and effort to minimize and prevent the complete destruction of that Generator pod.

When reading the information of the test "trinity" in wikipedia one can establish some hypotheses: Https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_(nuclear_test) - The ring of teresa banks and laura palmer for sure is made of "trinitite" and recalls the birth of "BOB". - The symbolism of "This is the water and this is the well, drink full and descend, the horse is the white of the eyes and the dark within" can be interpreted by the well that was made for the detonation of the bomb, Water is the atomic material and then there is something that I can interpret as the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse riders had 4 colors, white, red, black and pale, white is what you see when the bomb explodes, red the fire that Provokes, black the chaos that is left after and as a consequence of that the same "pale" color of the "tinitite" with which the ring that had "Teresa Banks" and later "Mike". - When detonated the bomb witnesses said to have seen a purple sky perhaps is the vortex that was generated between the earth and the purple sea where was the "mother" and the "giant" for that reason the alarm that was heard in said place. Read the article and see that there are more details that make sense. Excuse my English but use the google translator

+Wow Lynch Wow! I know exactly what you mean. I filmed some footage of a druid temple / stone circle. At the time I asked the band Opeth if I could use their music and give them credits. they said yes. So I put the video up and got a mark for copyright infringement. I disputed it with youtube and finally got the video back up and got it back on my channel but it was a pain in the ass. KZbin was best in its original form. anyways all this said thanks for the videos you make. I do enjoy them
