Who cares? Bob deserves the extra publicity. Seems like a genuine and cool old man.
@Brock_Landers5 жыл бұрын
@@scottcount6861 SO true...Bob Bondurant is an absolute legend, even at his age. The guy drove those crazy Shelby coupes and GT40s with their 427s and 429s and shamed Ferrari in almost every race. Their first year was a shambles due to so many different factors, but once they got their shit together, they came out and old Henry Ford II jumped in Enzo Ferrari's face and said what now bitch!? Seriously though, they went on to take win after win along with 2nd and 3rd wins overall for years to come. Ford came out with Carroll Shelby (another legendary American icon and automotive designer) to show the world that we aren't just about building lazy slow land yachts, we also have grace, style, and the know how to win. Now if only good old Ferruccio Lamborghini had the same idea in those days. The 3.5L and 4.0L V12 would've been a world beater back then.

Love to be able to go there. I've always had a really good feel on anything I drive. Even when I drove M1 & M1A1 Abrams tanks, I think I was one of the first to drift one around a corner. That was awesome! LOL! My 73' Challenger I had 30yrs ago was red w/a black vinyl top. My 16' RAM Crew Cab 4x4 w/a 5.7L Hemi drives awesome and can MOVE. I can take an S curve off ramp near where I work going 60 mph w/no problem, but I also know how to take curves unlike most people apparently. Then again, I grew up here in NH and LOVED going out driving in snow storms, drifting around corners, doing donuts in parking lots, and that was in my first car when I was 17. A 66' Dodge Coronet 4dr I paid $100 for. I've had a bunch of fun cars over the years. 86' Shelby Charger I bought factory direct, a 66' New Yorker 2dr hrdtp, a 75' Newport 4dr, even an 82' Plymouth Sapporo 5spd. Driven all types, had fun in all of them. You can get really sick w/these newer Gen Hemi cars/trucks. My Ram will haul ass & it's governed at 105. Set the cruise control at 90 and it's only reading 2,300-2,500 on the tach. Just playing w/the CPU can make it sick, like when they put the stage II chip in the GLHS Shelby's and they'd run low 12's in the 1/4 w/a FWD 2.2L 4cyl.
