I've been a follower of yours on Instagram for a little while now. I've only commented there once or twice, but I ***love*** your feed and all your videos! I wanted to tell you how brave I think it is that you are protecting your creativity the way you are. I have always looked at what you and other designers do (working for yourself, and designing patterns, making videos ... all the fun stuff!) as the ultimate job where, if I could do it, I'd be free and happy. But I never considered the pressures you must feel at times that can take the fun out of the "ultimate job". Creativity is a great gift and it should always make you feel good. I hope you always find the fun in creating and don't let the pressures take away that fun because that should be your priority. Your very honest, brave, and thoughtful video here is amazing! You really inspired me with this one - thank you for the honest look into what it takes to run a creative business! It made me appreciate my own 9-5 job that much more, and also the separation of my day job from my creative process for the first time. Best of luck - and I was very sorry to hear about Bibi.

I think it really hit me about where we live, when a friend was talking to her mom about not being able to go on vacation very much, and her mom was like, you live in a city where people go for vacation!

Yeah, I think when people think about a vacation it's usually somewhere away from where they live. So I understand where your friend is coming from. I felt the same way a few years ago but then ended up exploring places that I hadn't been before but are really close by like Muir Woods, Mt.Tam or Bodega Bay. There is so much to see and do in San Francisco but there is also so much close by. You can go on a mini vacation for the day or over a weekend by just driving an hour or two away. It really is one of the best locations in the country if not the world and its right in our backyard. : )

TwinkieChanTV Thank you. They said because he was premature, he had a little heart failure that we thought left with age. But...it didn't and it affected him before we even knew how to avoid his passing away. BTW my depression lasted much longer than 2 weeks. It actually is still here and he passed last year a few weeks (i think) before his b-day.
