@@ATrainInfinite Were. They’re not the same since losing their bass. They still get it, but a four part harmony is the magic formula and it’s impossible for them to produce that live now without Mike. Nate is a capable bass singer, but he’s no Mike and can’t sing two parts at once.

This is kind of their tribute to all of the greats in that day who passed on. If you look at the little black and white tv, they were shown there. I couldn’t see everyone, but one was Sammy Davis Jr., one of the entertainers who was part of the “Rat Pack,” and another was our beloved Gilda Radner who played the popular “Rosanna Rosanna Danna” on Saturday Night Live. It’s worth doing a little research on these two.

Their rendition of this song is amazing, especially the harmony. In 1975, G.C. Cameron sang the original, which was part of the soundtrack for the movie "Cooley High". Check out the movie when you have a moment. In fact, when I graduated from the 8th grade (1976), we selected this as our graduation song. 🎶 Side note: G.C. Cameron was a Motown artist and (for a very short time) a member of the group The Spinners when he sang lead on their hit "It's a Shame" (1970). 🙂
