TWISTER fragmenting 12 GA. slug test - Absolute BEASTS

This was safely filmed at a range for absolute safeness.
We test out some WICKED slugs called "Twisters" - these have 6 petals (other versions have 4 and 5 petals). Similar in operation as the DDpleks or Gualbo steel slugs but these are cast out of lead. These are Russian designs but can be used with American/Italian/etc. wads instead of propriety Russian ones. We propel these at around 1600 fps - very fast for a heavy projectile. Even though the name "twister" implies they are supposed to spin, they perform best without spin and were never designed to spin. Thank you Psyko Klown!!

With very little modifying or tweaking of this round (a little thicker wadding in the nose), it could be almost perfect. The penetration and the energy dump on the *Clear Ballistics Gel* was amazing. Thank you gentlemen for sharing this test with us. Have a great weekend.

Jeff, Danny, and crew. Once a bullet caster discovers these Russian molds it is hard to compare any of the offerings commercially available. they just get with it. Accuracy and dependable expansion (Even with the Hydrant slug) is outstanding. I know Psyko Klown and he is an inventive smart guy working from his basement, he does projects that people would not normally do (Making his own .22 cal bullets and doing mods to his crafting equipment). anyway back on subject, your awesome video equipment lets people like us look at the things that we can't see as the projectile is in flight, and that is something of Extreme Value to audiences such as myself and a host of others. It's a simple fix to avoid the separation. Longer screw, thicker wad base, perhaps lighter powder load too.
