Current Twitter user here. I mostly follow art accounts, so I dodge some of the depravity associated with the platform these days. That said, the number of NSFW ads I've been getting lately has been making me uncomfortable about browsing in public. I'll be scrolling down my feed and boom, lady with massive barely-covered breasts calling you cutie as a promoted post. The NFT and crypto stuff that makes up ~70% of the ads I see is annoying, but I can put up with it. The straight up softcore porn, on the other hand, is actively driving me away from using the app as often. I used to freely scroll Twitter for entire bus trips and now I won't even touch it unless I'm alone at the very back to avoid looking like a creep.
