Different words and worlds connecting, our ways of life all intersecting, erecting, to build us a new idea, of what it means to be human and what what it means to be here, We fear, the unknown to keep our feet on the ground, we only see what's in front instead of looking around, what's found, its not for us a reason to hide, but a new way of life for us to feel deep inside, Looking back, now on the things we've reflected, instead we embrace into new things projected from our minds and our hearts buried deep in our soul, what began feeling empty now complete, new and whole, That's the law of the jungle, the vine on the tree, to swing into action by the team Jubilee, not three out of four but all three's out of three, to find my self is what it all means to me.

Graffiti is artistic vandalism, the mural might be nice but committing crimes and destroying a city’s image isn’t. However when a city or a company commissions a graffiti artist to make a mural(in graffiti style) on a wall/building, can that still considered graffiti?

@slannim8736 жыл бұрын
DerpDaTurt, because graffiti is artistic vandalism, deliberate damage done to public or private property. When an art piece is commissioned it is no longer a crime and as such no longer vandalism. In fact the proper name for such a piece is “street art”. No matter how wonderful a graffiti mural is, it is still considered a crime as long as it was put there without permission.
@trulyinfamous6 жыл бұрын
I understand why graffiti is illegal, I really wouldn't like to have the side of my building covered in some shitty tags. However, I absolutely love it when towns and cities commission graffiti artists to paint murals on the sides of buildings. It really adds value to a city.
@CGoody5646 жыл бұрын
Truly Infamous I dont consider graffiti as being illegal. Graffiti is a style; it's when it's put on property that isn't yours that it becomes destruction of property. Typically graffiti is placed on illegal mediums; typically does not mean graffiti inherently involves crime or destruction of property specifically. That being said, if I want graffiti on my house, the fact a home owners association can tell me no is ridiculous.
@UhtredOfBamburgh6 жыл бұрын
There is a lot of really good graffiti murals in my city that are not commissioned and I love it. They obviously make a lot of illegal murals merely for practice and love. I think public structures such as the undersides of bridges are kind of fair game but I also hate the tagging by gangs and 12 year old wana-be badasses. Its hard to think of a middle ground of legality that would please me. Some anti-graffiti campaigns in my city a few years back wiped out some commissioned murals. Many places with beautiful illegal graffiti would otherwise just be old weathered broken concrete with rust stains running down from the compromised steel rebar.

I think this may be my favorite out of the series as you can really see the integration and melding of the two different styles coming together and making something new and different yet equally amazing. Neither of them tried to overpower each other with their respective visions of what the mural would finally look like. It wasn't so much the subject of the painting (the raven), but it was how they depicted it which I think really encapsulates the essence of what this series is all about. How the neon spirit of the raven in comparison to the real one gives off a deeper meaning than the raven itself. Two unique worlds coming together to create something beautiful and cohesive. Great work.

Baako Jernigan I completely agree! I feel like the collab is off balance enough to take away from the piece and makes it overall an unbalanced and somewhat lacking piece. It's beautiful! But i felt it could've been so much more if tried to combine their styles instead of one piece behind the other.
@goregoyle4986 жыл бұрын

@ateela156 жыл бұрын
The reason it felt like that was because of the size difference. If her bird was around the same size as his, it would have felt better. Instead, hers is off in the corner being covered by a menacing looking green bird.
@MattMcConaha6 жыл бұрын
Because Black Light has all the style. Aimée does semi-realist animal paintings over abstract backgrounds. What else could she have done? Just make a bigger raven? Maybe just have a big ass raven and Black Light adds flourishes and highlights to it? It's not that Aimée is a bad artist, she is good at what she does. But Black Light is miles ahead in capturing an audience's attention and imagination.
@goregoyle4986 жыл бұрын
Matt McConaha She is amazing at what she does. She captures animals well and clearly has been developing her style for a while. I just feel she didn't have enough room because the black light paint took most of the room due to it's "wow factor" and sadly makes it, for me, seem more like a gimmick then a showcase of how artists can combine their completely unique artstyles, it ironically defeats the purpose of the challenge for me. I love both styles but it just seems unbalanced. It could be balanced by making the birds fit on the canvas more to the center then having her bird on the far right and his taking all the other leftover room.

You guys are showing us the beauty of coming together and creating something beautiful whether it be through the middle ground series, the tea with strangers, or even this series between worlds. This is what we need right now. Showing that at the end of it all, we're just human beings, and that if we come together we can build something beautiful. That art piece turned out so amazing! I'm glad they were able to actually work together. As an artist I understand how others can be difficult to work with because not everyone will agree with decisions and ideas. So I'm glad they were able to put their art together and come up with this awesome idea. It really paid off. I would like to know if, looking back on it, if either of them would have changed anything or done anything differently to the artowrk or idea as a whole. That's something interesting to think about because I know there are times I look back at my own art and think of things I would've changed. Colors I would've changed. Things I would've added in. Even a small detail in a wing or a tree. Anything.

I Think Personally The Combination Was Brilliant,Black Light Complimented Her Idea On How They Can Make It look more realistic,which was eyegasmic..gorgeous they should do more together because I believe they can create more beautiful art together.

So, I'm a musician (multi-instrumental multi-genre), so while paintings are fantastic, they generally aren't my go-to genre for the arts. I'm only positioning it this way so you understand the impact this had on me... I was literally driven to tears. What a fantastic collaboration; thank you for pulling that together. I'll certainly be looking in to other collaborations. No rap as of yet, I have to pull myself together first.

I have no idea what it is, but I'm an artist and I stopped doing anything for almost three years. I've just given up and recently I've been seeing things that have been just giving me to message to keep going and something about this video is touching me and telling me to get started on something asap. I really appreciate and enjoyed watching these two. I wish I could see that work up close. Thanks, Jubilee.

Getting burnt out is real. But, also, a break is ok. When you come back to it, you'll do different things, perhaps better things. I got burnt out as an art teacher, the only creating I did when I had my kids at home for 12 years was run awesome parties with the BEST 'pin the x on the x' pictures, then I took up doodling again, then I ran a workshop on that, then I started a pinterest page collecting images I liked, then I ran a few workshops on the new ideas that interested me, now, my young daughter is at school, and I'm specialising in collaborative painting projects - totally different in many ways, but it all makes sense when I look back - I liked doing murals with kids, I like teaching art, but I DON'T like the politics of schools and school departments. I use my skills for special needs I developed in my time as a behaviour therapist for my middle son; I can work well with children with anxiety - and guess what? Collaboration is great for that. All this rambling to sat that my break was really just part of getting me where I am now - about to launch a whole new chapter. Good luck to you too. Follow your interests. Check out Maria Brophy - an art consultant who has inspired me to follow what I enjoy - collaboration and turn that into a niche business for myself. I don't even have her book yet!

Between worlds play with this idea of separation. Things don’t have to be black or white. I think sometimes we forget that. We get stuck in this mindsets where we just say some things don’t work without really giving it a chance. If anything, between worlds shows a narrative that highlights what can be accomplished when we let ourselves accept these new ideas and concepts.

Jubilee the world between worlds making me feel satisfied with your work, taking art and creating something new something first drew then look what it turned into, a masterpiece, a work of art, something not many can do from the start but as a growing a artist a thank you and I enjoy most of your videos. The physical work. The times when you might not think of something you still make it work, so I appreciate what you do. Thank you~ Idk you said do a do a that's all I thought of.

what jubilee means to me reflections of a different reality with uneven symmetry where a 100 humans can express themselves candidly so they can find a middle ground for their poetry both sides will find their veracity revealing secrets so openly side by side, humans being we will see firsts and last for dear humanity Good food for the soul so we can live greatly Asking some deep questions to our society loving strangers after I have some tea putting us between worlds, it's kinda crazy put it in a time capsule so I have it for eternity -BARS😂
