Bodhi's mom has the patience of a saint! This poor cat how traumatized he must of been. Almost a year & look what love & kindness will do. And then there is MERV!!!!! OMG she is hilarious, totally love Siamese cats. My last one passed in 2019 & I had her for 19yrs. She was/is my soul kitty.

I remember the news article about the poor kitty left in a bodega and was crying in the window at everyone passing by. I wonder if that's the same boy. Grateful that she adopted him as he went through a horrible time. So sweet to see him coming around to affection. And Merv is just a riot.

Merv is hilarious, I love cats like him so much ... some extra work, but 24/7 entertainment in return. And poor Bodhi must have been terrified and feeling very abandoned, being locked in a deserted bodega for some days ... no wonder he took a long time to warm up.

God bless you for stepping up and helping him. I just went through that experience. It took almost 3 years for him to come around and let others pet him besides my husband and I but they do come around. I have 3 that were feral that I have rescued. It’s heart warming when their little personalities start coming out❤

I adopted two feral 5 month old kitten siblings 7 years ago. It took a while for them to show any affection at all, they were so skittish from lord knows what happened to them before I got them. And now? My boy follows me everywhere and his sister sleeps with me every night.

Merv’s dad totally missed his calling as a stand up comedian 😂😂😂 He absolutely cracks me up! I bet his kids adore him! And Merv is his partner in crime 😜 And Bodega kitty has the most patient mom ever 🥰❤️❤️ My sister had a bit of a hard time living with my 2 boys when I had to go out of state for work because I had allowed them to just be themselves, no rules. And it made for some very entertaining stories when I moved back 6 weeks later. Everyone was appreciative of being back in their appointed pecking order 😂😂

Initially, You don't have any control over traumatized cats. They're hissing, spitting, scratching, growling and in fighting mode. You have to be very patient with them and wait them out to hopefully learn to trust you. They like to eat without anyone watching. They feel vulnerable if they're bending down to eat and their backs are turned and cannot watch you and their surroundings. It's all cat controlled in the beginning until they learn that they're safe with you.
