Am not condoning this or happy about these inequalities in SA'n societies but what concerns me is the hypocrisy of foreign media, I have watched documentaries about cities in UK & even America the so called 1st world countries showing homeless people living in abject poverty, by the way SA is not classified as a 1st world country, some say 2nd world or even 3rd world but with videos like these seemingly this is a wonder to see in SA, poverty or homelessness is not limited to SA it's an unfortunate situation all over the world. These foreign media must also show us also the bad or not desirable side of their countries & stop acting as if it's only like this in Africa.

What the news programme failed to point out , is that those communities are illegally squatting on the land. It is therefore impossible for the City to provide adequate , permanent utilities. They have proper water and sewerage in the formal townships.
