Don't get me wrong, Amon Tobin is the shit. But he isn't popping off in music anymore cause he stopped creating interesting and innovative electronic music post 2010. I think he should stick with the tasteful but chill "Long Stories" adjacent releases instead of pleasing his two fingers/post dubstep crowd picked up after the dreaded release of isam.

The newest album How Do You Live is way more innovative than anything he did on NinjaTunes 10 ys ago and Long stories which you say is what he "should do" also came out only like a year ago....? For real; Amon’s influence is undeniable. I’ve dabbled in writing electronic music for years now, and most of the time, I can figure how the artist is able to get the sound or effect, but Amon Tobin really is a wizard; I have no clue how he can warp the sounds to his will.

Amon's treatement of audio was, is and will be ages beyond Zimmer. The dude puts pvc pipes in reverse and gets an oscar, while Tobin has been producing genuine "out of this world soundtracks" for more than two decades. Loved the film but really felt like the OST needed some serious overhaul, i hope the part two will improve on that. I must say tho the treatement for "the voice" was very cool, and the compositions themselves are good but it's quite underwhelming when you're into experimental music.
