@victorramsey55753 жыл бұрын
This video is of the few you can find when drummer Rick Allen had both arms. He was in a car wreck and lost his left arm. For a drummer to lose an arm is devastating. But Ricks story is very educational. He refused to give up. He had an electric drum kit built and relearned to play left handed beats with his foot. He should be an inspiration to all of us. Whenever you think life is too hard just think about Rick Allen. A drummer who lost an arm at the height of the bands fame. The band couldve given up on him, he couldve given up on himself. But no. If you have the support of friends and family you can get through ANYTHING.

During my teen years, they were one of greatest bands. But this was before Rick had the accident and having his arm amputated. Many, me included, believed that it was the beginning of the end for them. Having to find a proper replacement for Rick would be almost impossible, not only for his stage presence and musical style, the fans but also having the whole band to agree. When Rick told them he would quit, I'd like to think, that was the turning point of the story, making their resolve stronger. Also, with the new electronic drum set made specifically for them, they came back a lot stronger and with renewed fighting spirit. Glad they didn't stop.

They are one of the best bands ever. This was before the lead singer became hot- blonde straight hair. This is not even one of the songs that is the most popular. Pour Some Sugar On Me, Rock of Ages, Armageddon, and really everything is just amazing.

I saw them back when they had the 360° rotating stage. The band members would hide under there and drink (and who knows what else) during Phil’s guitar solo set.

The song actually continues on into "Switch 625"... Bringin' on the heartbreak/Switch 625.. So, there is more to hear from it.

I was quite shocked that you were not reacting to him drumming with one arm. He is a legend, and so much respect to the band for waiting until he could drum again after the car crash.

He still has both arms in this video

Surprised! I'm a Def Leppard groupie, and I would not have chosen this song for you. I love this song, but bias may be a part of that. Strongly recommend the songs that have stood the test of time, even live in concert such as "Rock of Ages", "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "Photograph", "Run Riot", "Let's Get Rocked" and with a ONE armed drummer!!!

Def Leppard are the gods of rock ballads: Too Late For Love. Hysteria, Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad, Stand Up( Kick Love Into Motion), When Love and Hate Collide, Blood Runs Cold, Two Steps Behind. And more.... 😉

YEE girls 😂 YEE Nation. Get ready Mia. Great job girls. You two brought the magic back to this song 💥

you should check out some of their later stuff after the drummer had his accident and lost an arm, the band waited for him to recover and learn to play with only one arm. Even with only the one arm he is still considered one of the best drummers in the business.
