Playing fighting games for the first time with SF6, it’s really heartening to see Max playing and going “hey, most of this is stuff I know how to do now.” I can’t string it together as well and panic-jab way too much as a default option, but I at least recognize what he’s doing and could imagine pulling it off myself.

any move that breaks armor should beat it, back dash works in the corner as well, and of course jumping beats it. best thing is to not end up in the corner in the first place as no matter who your up against the corner is super deadly in this game, wake up super should also beat it but that might depend on who you play as, definitely go into training mode and test different things to find what options work best

If you have a character with a projectile, zone them out. DP their jumps, and keep them out with safe pokes. They struggle to get in on characters with projectiles and people who can keep them out fundamentally. A Marissa specific tip though: Her phanlax is super garbage up close. If you have the reaction speed, I suggest a dp like any other jump attack. Otherwise use a jab and it'll stuff it. Only her ex phanlax has armor, so don't be scared to challenge any other phanlax if you see it coming.
