So what’s the size and type of thread on the end of the regulator? I want to go straight from a hose and have the regulator on the tank, but I can’t find an adapter… I think is 3/8 but I can’t find the right fit… any ideas?

Strangely, on my 22” Table Top, i can run it with the green tank, however when connecting the 20LB tank i seem to get nothing. I am stumped, and I believe i have the correct hose to hook it up 🤔

Us too. We have the Blackstone hose. We’ve tried it with 2 different LP tanks. Both tanks work fine with our WeberQ grill.

Same here. Mine came with the adapter hose. On rare occasion I can get a full flame with the big tank but usually it is just a small flame. I’ve had some success turning the blackstone knobs on before I open the propane tank and I barely turn it on then click the knobs to fire it up. Sometimes this works but usually it doesn’t. I think the regulator senses too much pressure or something and closes off. I can still use it but the flame is actually lower than it normally is on full. Frustrating

i tried using a hose and a 5 gallon tank, didn’t work, worked fine with a 1 gal🎉 bottles. i have the blackstone model 1935, don’t you have to have a different regulator when you go from 1 gal bottles to 5 gal

Just make sure there are not 2 regulators.

A buddy heater will also need a filter ,20 pound tanks is not filtered gas like the 1 pound tanks are. eventually after two or three times your heater won’t work properly anymore because the orifice it’s so small it gets clogged

Yup was just going to say. Up here in Canada at a retailer called Canadian Tire ( it’s a hardware store everything from tires, auto service to pet food, dishes, fishing gear etc. ) 2 years ago I went in to a Canadian Tire store to see if the had anything to adapt a 20 lb propane bottle to use instead of the 1 lb bottles which only lasted for about 2.5 hours on a small propane deck heater. I saw one of these adapters for $18 ( Canadian Dollars so about $15 USD.) but didn’t grab it because I wasn’t sure if this was what I needed. Forgot all about it until just a couple months ago and that same adapter with a 4 foot hose ( also comes with a 10 foot hose ) is now selling at $28.
