Awesome you speak Polish. Im also Polish living in USA and much into bushcrafting. I visited Colorado last year. Awesome videos keep up the good work 🙂👍

I know this footage was shot some time ago. I did want to mention something I noticed about the scene when butchering. Be mindful when putting a dirty knife into a leather sheath. The bacteria can wipe off inside the sheath. Even if you clean the knife afterwards, every time you insert the knife into the sheath, it may get dirty again. Looks like a great time Simon. Thanks for taking the time to film it.

That's true. Unfortunately, all we could do most of the time was wipe the knives or stick them in boiling water but that wasn't always possible or easy. Luckily, the wiping must have been pretty thorough because we never got sick. Thanks for watching.

A lot of fun and a lot of work. But sometimes that's exactly what we need :) Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks. It was delicious and made us feel like humans again but to be perfectly honest, it still wasn't enough since was mostly very lean meat so essentially, predominantly proteins. Good and necessary for certain things but not the best source of energy :)

In my experience properly greased boots should protect your feet almost as well as rubber boots while still breathing very good. That is based on a pair of Finnish army jackboots, a pair of Russian kirza jackboots and my steel toe work boots (which are much more modern).

That's not what I've experienced, I'm afraid. There are seams, folds and micro-cracks in leather. On top of that, everything is constantly being bent, twisted and rubbed. So it doesn't take long for the boots/shoes to start soaking up water and leaking.

@@SimonsDiscoveries never had that issue, maybe its in the products/methods or maybe even leather quality?

It was a very interesting video! This has me wishing I didnt have a prosthetic knee and was 20 years younger and go try it for myself. Rufus's hat, is it a Polish military hat? I like the style. Also, what does "tak" mean?
@SimonsDiscoveries5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's an old military hat. 'Tak' means 'yes' or depending on context, it can also mean 'like that' or something similar :)
