Great comparison, since I already have M12 tools I may add this inflator to my stock

I’d really like to see a comparison of the Milwaukee 12V and 18V compressors

I installed a 12v outlet, similar to the external solar panel connector, on the outside of my fifth wheel. Then converted the alligator clips to the mate of the 12v outlet. Makes using the ViAir very easy. Especially when you install lithium batteries inside the rv where you can’t get to them.

I have the VIAIR on board duel air compressors ( 4500 ) with a 5 gallon tank on my tow vehicle. I just love them. I have 120 psi on my RV and I can pump them up really, really fast.

I have both of those compressors and am very happy with them. One thing to note in the manual is that the Milwaukee can only be run for 10 minutes or it will overheat and fail. I burned up my first one after exceeding the 10 minute mark three times.

I went with the cordless top off based on Ryobi. Battery works with my power tools. Agree these units are more top off. Use on both my truck as well as the camper. Also, don't forget to check your battery from time to time. Leaving it under the rear set gets an out of sight out of mind issue.

Also, I believe the Milwaukee was a 50% duty cycle, can’t recall if the ViAir is less than 100% but if so this applies to it as well, does it automatically turn off and on to reduce heat because you preset the desired inflation

Good comparison! The Milwaukee kit (w/batt) was on sale for 119.00 @ Home Depot last month so that might be a deal worth looking for.

Yea, Milwaukee stuff goes on sale at HD all the time.

Helpful review. Did you verify the accuracy of the gauges on each unit vs your gsuge? My experience is that some could vary quite a bit.

I have found that most air gauges leave something to be desired. I have 10 different gauges, even a couple of Milton made in USA gauges, and I get slightly different readings on most of them. I think Tire Minder did a White Paper some time ago that illustrated the inaccurate gauges.
