this is why "Pisces" is such a highly requested song...it has shock value, so anyone not familiar with Jinjer are going to be surprised, and you didn't disappoint....anyone doubting that Tatiana is actually doing this is directed to their song "Who is gonna be the one" which is a live on stage performance but if you want to see something that is recent then "Teacher Teacher" ....infact any Jinjer song you react to, you will enjoy 👍

+1 "Who is gonna be the one (live)" is the normal song to react to next just to confirm she can do it live :-) After that I'd go for "I Speak Astronomy" live from Resurrection Fest or Summer Breeze because it's mainly clean singing and then "Teacher, Teacher" to see the whole band executing a masterpiece

I had already been listening to a few bands with women who employ harsh vocals for a long time when I discovered Jinjer in 2015, but yet.... JINJER STILL BLEW ME AWAY! I didn't expect such a petite woman to bring such a deep growling tone! AND, YES. THE GROWLING IS 100% TATIANA, BUT IT TAKES A LOT--YEARS!!!!!!!--OF PRACTICE TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT WITHOUT DESTROYING YOUR VOCAL CHORDS! Improper technique over a long period can result in a vocalist requiring surgery.

So this song is from a Pisces describing being a pisces. Feeling as though she has two sides to her personality. From the line in the bridge "Neptune's child..." the lyrics were written by Eugene(bass player). You may find as you delve into their music she has a then l thematic writing style. This song is full of aquatic imagery symbolizing the pisces fish and she uses the idea of the Sun sign for pisces (two fish swimming in a circle) for the chorus "scale armour belies virgin innocence, one being brings life, the other runs for death" In captain clock it's all time related imagery. Teacher teacher is all catholic school images, i speak astronomy is all space related(stars, supernovas, black holes). The most subtle one is Perennial. It's all related to perennial plants, especially trees and how they seem to die in fall and winter only to come back in spring. Of all these i would recommend in no particular order: Teacher teacher Captain clock Perennial As my top 3 picks. Live where possible or official vids where live is not an option. I love it! This is great. In your defense NOBODY is ready when they first react to Jinjer. Her vocal ability is mindblowing. But in truth, you've just witnessed one of the most diverse & versatile female vocalists on the planet in ALL music. She is a game changer. In metal alone, half the male vocalists can't do what she can do. 'I Speak Astronomy' is another great song to react to. Plus the video is awesome too. ;-)

Growl is a special technique which does not require much of a vocal cords use but more of diiaphragm and inner core.Basically it is a talent to sing that clean without special teaching. Tatyana is a self taught musician and I give her full 100% respect for what and how she does what she does.

Girls have been doing growl vocals since beginning of 2000 or late 90. It is nothing new, but Tatiana is doing both, clean and growl wich not many female singers have done yet. Tatiana is a talented, very charming vocalist. Their music is satisfying and thought provoking. Their story is awesome as well; Eugene gives some interesting details in their album “Alive In Melbourne” which is excellent.

Tatiana is a vocal acrobat. That is a technic dalled growling and it is actually an operatic vocal style and requires a great deal of skill and discipline to do it correctly without damaging your voice. She has worked hard to make it look so seamless and easy

Watching people react to Jinjer never gets old. Ever. Tati is an amazing vocalist. Her pitch and breath control is on a whole other level, in regards to both singing and screaming. She had a background in jazz and soul style singing, surprisingly, and she's entirely self taught, if her claims to that end are to be believed. She's so good at it, I find it hard to believe, personally, but just because it's improbable, doesn't mean it's impossible. If she's being honest in that assertion, that takes some dedication on a level that requires some serious balls, even if they're only proverbial ones, given that she's clearly a member of the female gender. She's one badass bitch, and from what I've heard she's a really nice, genuine person to boot. You don't see that often, in the WORLD, let alone in showbiz. Serious props. We are all humbled, laid low, in serious comparison, of which there's no point. Just... damn. And even as a straight dude, I know her makeup game is fucking STRONGK, like her stage presence, lol. As a vocalist myself, if I'm completely, totally honest, I'm jelly like a goddamn Smucker's uncrustable from the freezer aisle. Shit.
