We used to eat those up with our almost stoke blaster with just a little tuning. All our 1993 Blaster had done was a .20 over bore which is nothing and boyesen rad valve, spacer for factory header pipe and a slip-on. Also a degree key and literally it was king at five different county fairs. We have tons of trophies to prove this and VHS!

You always make great videos 👍 thanks for posting 🙂 I would like to make a tool suggestion to add to your list, a metal lathe, I bought one a few year back and it’s really been a game changer for my projects! Just keep an eye out for one on Craig’s list or FB trader, I paid $1600 but I have seen quite a few go for under $1000. Just buy a descent size one, mine is 13”x40” that’s spinning capacity. Try and find at least 8”x 24” or so, don’t buy anything small like the ones sold at HF. Take care and thanks for posting!!!

Just make sure you chamfer the ports in the cylinder but porting it might be a bad idea without using a degree wheel.

Hey Vasily. Just a heads up. The 240cc kit sounds like a great idea, but infact isnt much of a power boost over the stock 200cc because the vitos porting is so crappy. My recommendation is to send the vitos cylinder out to a machine shop (or do it at home) to get it ported and polished. You'll be making WAYYY more power that way. Also, while you're at it get the head milled down. Lots of power to be made. If you need any help with the blaster engine let me know, super familiar.

Make sure you use red thread locker on those collar locks!!! Every collar lock I've ever used has vibrated loose over time. I don't know if there is an inherent flaw in the design or if I'm just doing something wrong, but I've used red thread locker on em for the last 15 years and no problems now. Man, I jacked some stuff up in my younger years not using thread locker. I put that *beep* on everything. But whatever you do, don't use the green Bearing Thread Locker all Willy Nilly. That *beep* is together forever. Forrrrevvvver. I can't wait to see you let her rip tater chip!!!! Brap brapp!!

I think I would have aligned the rear axle with the front wheel. If that's off it will give you some weird handling characteristics at speed wanting to push you off line. Looking forward to see it go!
@TepcoCycleRepair4 жыл бұрын
@Nimbus Nimbus Are you building it with him? Because eyeballing it like he did is not the way to do it. It might be lines up to the tubes he bent but not the front wheel.
@TepcoCycleRepair4 жыл бұрын
@Nimbus Nimbus exactly, it will pull right or left and make it unstable if it's not straight. They make tools for motorcycles when you adjust your chain to make sure your wheel is straight even with that minor chain adjustment.

May want to add a damper/stabilizer on that front end! Just thinking that at the speeds this thing may reach, it may get a little twitchy. I know it's way early in the build, just a suggestion. Steering stops and such.

Just a word of warning, twl strokes spray a fair bit of oil vapour out of the exhaust that you wont see with your eyes. So you might want to create a little turn outwards on your exhaust so it's not going to blow all those vapours towards your diac brake and not making it as grippy as it should be
@gonzore.52564 жыл бұрын
Nice Part,s.
@11coLTx4 жыл бұрын
Front wheel really makes the bike pop! Do you have a link for that one??
If it's not in the way of something else I'd put the motor forward more, so the exhaust goes out through the front of the frame and curves back like it does now. It might help with launching and it might look better too. Just a thought. Still will look good the way it is too.

Great video and build, thank you! I'm concerned about one thing though, I'd really like to see you use some better bearings on that rear axle. I gave up using the ones like you have on there years ago because I had too many failures. I'd hate to see one of them lock up or come apart at speed on that scooter.
