Dear friend white smoke on any diesel indicates low compression ,check the comp if you can it may need a set of rings to fix .

I haven't seen your other videos on this bike, so sorry if you already know most of this, but a few years ago a bike with a Lohmann engine was donated to our local museum, where I'm active. Since I was the youngest member at the time (best stamina) I had to try to start it. What I learned during my attempts and during research is that first of all there is a choke function on the engine, it took me a while to figure that out, but without using it it refused to start. When I used it the engine started without needing pre-heating. When running you constantly have to adjust the compression and throttle during the varying load of the engine. You can't expect it to run as good with the same adjustments on flat ground as it does uphill. Another thing, even though these were advertised as "Lohmann Diesel" they are not supposed to run on diesel! They will run on diesel, they will run on petrol, and they will run on paraffin, but the will not run any good at all. They are supposed to run on kerosene, with a 4% oil mix in the fuel. And running kerosene they will work much better. Lastly, these only have 0.75hp, and have a tiny displacement, so they will never feel very powerful, but they should be able to do at least 25-30kmh and be able to climb smaller inclines

i remember working on a 6v71 2 stroke v8 turbo diesel firetruck maybe 4-5 years ago that the town of Bridgeview in Chicago wanted some maintenance on. it was the absolute coolest engine i have ever worked on. it had unreal amounts of torque but my god, the first time the engine started after years of sitting, traffic had to slow down to drive safely on Ogden from all the smoke. it was like a house on fire until it cleared up. ill never forget that lol

Black smoke is the sign of excess fuel, white smoke suggests incomplete combustion, maybe low compression or injector/ delivery valve faults. 2 stroke diesels often suffered from stuck rings.

This was done by a Dutch team..They were planning to use the engine in poor regions of the world to pump water ... They did a great study .,..But the conclusion was not it was not good enough ...You can find it on the net a well put together page

One way to make a diesel run better and more fuel-efficient the right amount of propane allows the air fuel mixture to burn hotter so the diesel Burns cleaner and makes more power.

I know of a kit being available that produces a small amount of hydrogen to make your diesel engine run more efficient and much cleaner; the hydrogen gets added through a small hose at the air intake, it reduces dieselconsumption considerably by making the combustion process more efficient at the same time reducing smoke emissions…. The kit producing the hydrogen is little more than a jar of water with an anode and a katode….

@@sridharsri1535LPG kits are rather common for both gasoline and diesel engines in some places. I have a LPG system on my 2.5T gasoline Volvo, otherwise it would cost 30 euros for 100km on fuel alone. Now i can do 370-400km on 30 euros easily. On diesel engines it is mostly a power upgrade for racing. Though some do use it for economy.

Dear friend, due to diesels very low lubricity you will need to add some castor oil (20%) to that mix or you can run the risk of scoring or even seizing that little -->2stroke

Definitely need a ether kerosene mix fuel and a drop of cetane. Same as model aircraft engines. Load of recipes online or if you cant get ether in your country you can replace it with easy start

it should be way faster (>30km/h). Are you using Petroleum? Dont forget to mix oil in it! It also has a varible compression you can adjust, maby its to low or high. Im German and maby i could help you try to find more information about it.

I wonder if an ignition improver would help. Like a Ctane booster Which will lower the Ignition temperature and help a little bit with performance. I run a lot of model diesel airplane engines which run on terrorism ether and Castor oil and compression adjustment on top similar to this engine

I'm Swedish and it's about the same for us. Although I struggle to understand spoken Danish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian is not the same but closely related. When reading it's pretty easy and I don't even can tell Danish and Norwegian apart when reading. German is for us all a lot harder. Too many words that differ. I didn't know that the Dutch has that "superpower".

Make a gasoline and oil mix 1 to 10. The diesel fuel is slow burning and requires long stroke, but gasoline and oil is more agressive when it detonate. On yt i found engine called haza 25d that was also compression ignition engine and it runs almost without smoke on gasoline oil mix. Needle doesnt have effect on mixture because you're adjusting mixture by the mixer throttle because the needle is not conicl (the flow of fuel is always the same you're only changing how much air is going into the engine). i also have the lohmann diesel engine but mine have 3 ring piston with coating. My english is bad so sorry.

Diesel engine but multi fuel as well? What about running the engine on two stoke oil with gasoline (benzine)? Or gasoline mixed in with the oily diesel? Needle out probable slower fuel pressure. Needle in makes a higher fuel pressure. Did you measure the blow by aka space between the piston and the cylinder wall? Are the piston rings still fresh or just worn out? Spark plug or glow igniter still okay? ....my guess is the engine is worn out. Or, it is what it is. Or could be improved by using double piston rings. Another thingy could be the compression. But you said it is variable. May you loose compression through this mechanical system?

that is not true. smoke is simply unburned fuel, which means wasted power. a properly tuned diesel engine will produce no visible smoke.

@@jarikinnunen1718 Because in tractor pulls and drag racing, they run massive turbos for peak power and just run mechanical pumps with a range of right at peak airflow (and thus peak power). Big turbos take a while to spool up to push that air so at the start of a run they will struggle before clearing up and getting rid of the smoke through the run. Also, the extra fuel cools the engine, so running extra fuel in these very high power engines that run very hot, the extra fuel stops them melting. these engines are "Effective" but not "Efficient", they make a lot of power but not a lot of power for the amount of fuel they make. In Endurance racing, Audi ran a diesel engine and it was very fast for 24h straight, and that car made no smoke because in that type of racing you dont want to waste fuel as it leads to time loss from refuelling more often. if your street car (or moped in this case) makes smoke because of the fuel, it is badly tuned.

@@garchompy_1561 incorrect. On a diesel if its running rich, its more likely to melt. Gasoline/petrol engines you richen the mixture to cool it, with diesel it melts pistons or worse, the diesel gets between the rings and explodes there, breaking the ring lands, rings and the crown of the piston, which then the fragments smash the top of the piston, the head and the valves.

Hi, your problem is probably that the diesel these days is not the same product as in the early days.Ther are too many additives. I know someone who has three of these running perfectly on lamp oil for a classic oil lamp. Succes!
