i started with 2 walkmans and mixer that I build myself and litle fm radio transmiter for house broadcasting,my mom listen to me and coocking. That was before 30 yrs ago,now I am Djing with rekordbox and SB2 and SP1 controlers. Im not a proffesional DJ but I pursuited my dream and every weekend I mix and learn every day and Enjoy the music.

What is a great set up for a guy who wants to rock out in his garage bar? You know to impress his buds with great loops, samples and scratches. I DJ'd many years ago only with 2 turntables, 2cassette decks and a mixer. Lol They didn't have all these que points and loop pads.LOL. Controller? Mac vs. PC? I-Pad? I love everything about the Numark NS7 III. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

But im overthinking that i should buy a 2 channel controller with reordbox software because of three things: - i never use more than 2 channels - most of the time there is a cdj setup in a gig so it would be great to have rekordbox. - my 4 channel controller is really heavy to take with me if i need it. do you think this is a good idea? There are tons of DJ tutorials here on KZbin. You can learn almost everything about DJing here in YT. But if you want to learn more, you can enroll in a nearby DJ School or as you said; hire someone to teach you.

Let's say I want to go from Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA" to "September" by Earth Wind and Fire to "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis to" Into the Mystic" by Van Morrison? Thank you

Into Mystic - 85 bmp to jailhouse Rock - 79 bpm, this can work if you raise jailhouse Rock to 85 bpm to match the end of mystic to the start of jailhouse in last 2-3 measures. On my copies of the songs the last 12 seconds of mystic is where I begin jailhouse Rock. Use a drop into party in the USA - 96 bpm when it says "I hopped off the plane at LAX" in the beginning , then use echo to September - 126 bpm like Carlos suggest. Odd mix but great practice, nice genre and tempo changes. I was using original copies of the songs, most of my stuff is club/event related and not original so it makes it easier to DJ with. Don't see that everyday, hope this helps!
