No one else would have done it because it was DANGEROUS and foolhardy. Trained rescue teams would not have entered that water just to retrieve a trailer full of possessions, it’s not worth risking a life, possessions can be replaced. NEVER, EVER ENTER FLOODWATERS, you cannot see hazards below the surface and the sheer volume of water flow can knock a grown man off his feet in less than a foot of water depth

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER get into flooding water. Not even swift rescue would get into this water other than to try and save a person. No money is wort this no property is worth this. You placed yourself in danger as well as those that may have to come and get you. Not to mention your family that would miss you. There are just too many things to list that could go wrong. This comes from a person that has had to unwrap a mans arms that was around a tree that drowned. He wanted to play in the flood to. It cost him his life and almost cost his friend and mine his life also. Now I will get off my soap box. Watching this stressed me out. No life vest on either.

Watch at 22:21 how he kicks his heels off the step and kind of does a slow controlled fall down the steps. Just hitting the next step with his heel and kicking it off and falling to the next step. In sinc first one foot then the next with minimal time between.
