I've been following your journey ... and my favorite thing is what a great TEAM you are! Both with the same goals in mind, the way you get along so well even in harsh conditions that might cause friction between couples. Keep on truckin' !!!!

What you saw wasn’t a drilling machine(as you called it) but a pump jack which brings the oil to the surface. Look up drilling rig in the oil fields. I live in the oilfield country of Saskatchewan Canada.

Holy Moly, I remember this hotel ! we stayed there in 2012.....when we came from Aktau on our pushbikes to Beyneu.....and then to Uzbekistan... .... and the road is so much better than in 2012... we had sand and gravel.....so funny to see how things changed !

Just heard your comment on petrol prices “the cheapest in the world cos Kazakhstan is such an oil rich country. I live in Scotland and our petrol is the most expensive in Europe due to Westminster politics.

I just found your channel after listening to Adventure Rider Radio. I listened to the podcast on my 90-mile (one way) drive to work on my mighty yellow 2020 VStrom 1050XT. Yesterday my daughter and I explored the backcountry of Arizona, and I was thinking about your journey on the same bike. The VStrom 1050 is an amazing machine and really underestimated in its class. Well done!

The most cheapest petrol i have ever seen, was in Iran=10 cents/litre.Those Russian truks/van you see at the road , are old ,but they are 4x4 and very reliable, made by Russia.

Dont knock the “Black Garbage Bag” rain gear - always carry a couple with me and they work well. I remember working in construction during pouring rain on a job that HAD to be completed that day. We all wore the “Black Bag” rain gear, kept pretty dry and finished the job. Last year, rode 300km through thunderstorms to get home and the “Black Bags” came to the rescue again (more to stop wind-chill). Ride safely 🇦🇺😁👍

I work as an industrial painter in a facility that makes equipment for gas and oil processing. Many times over the years when I couldn't get a protective suit for one reason or another that day, I would use a garbage bag.

You have handled the ups and downs of this adventure with so much love and laughter. It's been wonderful to see. I absolutely loved your camel encounter! 🐪🐫 A new friend along the way. 😀 I'm glad you made it happy and alive, surviving more ugly weather. Safe and happy travels, see you in the next one. Getting those U-turns nailed is about turning your head looking in the direction you want to go and keeping your eyes up. That's a huge milestone, 40,000! 😁 You are making RTW travel look glamorous! Bus stop lunches dressed in plastic bags! 🤣 That was a cool camel interaction. 🥰 This part of Kazakhstan looks like a boring and challenging area to ride through. Not that riding anywhere in Kazakhstan is boring, but compared to some of the other areas you've been through, it looks like an area to just push through as quickly as possible. That was a cool interaction with the local "biker gang" though, it's those moments that are memorable. 🥰

I have not watched yet but I have to tell you guys about my nightmare room in Guatemala. I was in Panahashl. sp? by lake Attitlan. There were no rooms anywhere. I finally found a place that had a room but they did not want me to stay there. I said that I was desperate. So they agreed to let me stay there. No mattress. Just boards for a bed. I was separated from a chicken coop by boards with gaps the birds could stick there heads through. I got little sleep but I awoke alive !! Now back to the program. Cheers!!
