Great video ! INMOP Mikey's biggest flaw is that his right heel is PLANTED at impact which is delaying his weight shift and robbing him of speed and solid contact. His "engine" is his solid legs and core which is only being used at 25%. Yes Martin is correct about his swing path and MIkey has great fundamentals and hands to get the upper half to work property. Notice that the ONLY time his right heel works properly is in his PRACTICE swing. Good drill for Mikey is to swing and step/walk through the ball at impact . He should also look at a similar lower body type such as John Rahm and he moves through the ball. Cheers.

I've been working on this after watching a Tom Saguto KZbin Video about creating a 45 degree hip turn without significant rearward slide by simply straightening the back leg/knee and pushing the trailing hip up and back. Then, with the hip turn gained, it is easy to get the torso to add another 45 degrees (and I am 72 YO !!). Is it "unweighting" the front foot or is it "pushing weight into" the back foot while straightening the back knee/leg? Frankly, it looks like these descriptions are pretty much the same thing, except that the mind's attention is focusing on pressure delivered (like Martin's surging needles on the pair of bathroom scales) into the back foot while going into the backswing and then keeping a smooth flow of momentum going into the forward/downswing. This apparently helps to gain the sense of the changing momentum. I believe that this sensing of momentum is what reveals the loosey-goosey "whip" action into the "feel" that Martin is getting Mike to develop. Then the business about the wrist action positioning completes the proper sequence. Martin clearly delivers the goods. But, Mike is a very good student of the game and listens and understands and then does what he is shown how to do. Marking the powdered clubface with a cross to show the four quadrants and then working to deliberately deliver the club, with whipping momentum through the ball and into each specific quadrant is Bonkers precision. I'm going to watch this video several times and then go to the Range and GET IT!

When Martin showed how the club moved toward the heel when the club head was lifted off the ground, that was nice to see being explained. I figured that out years ago on my own when I started using impact wax on the face of my driver and woods. While I figured it out years ago, I have not seen it shown by a golf instructor before as I recall. Nice Martin.

The address posit creating heal strikes was 🤯 then the brush the ground move……that would help my swing issue! Then the takeaway move to start building speed…..so many nuggets in this one!
