This exactly where the industry needs to go in order to save the game of golf.... You would not believe the literal arguing I had to do with my local, (supposedly reputable pro shop), just to get fitted for a set of Ping Irons....It was almost as if I had more knowledge of the product, and the fitting process than the 35 year club fitting professional. It's refreshing to see guys like yourself helping the average golfer have more fun on the course.

This is one of the most enjoyable golf equipment videos I have seen. I always wondered why someone didn't show actual fitting seesions, edited for length of course. I would love to see a fitting for a senior golfer with decent swing mechanics but who has lost swing speed. Say an 8 to 10 handicapper, swing speed 85 or less. I would think it is hard to find a lot of extra distance at lower speeds, but it would be great to see what driver might give the most distance, and how much control has to be sacrificed to do it.

That was how a fitting should be.So many golfers walk out of a store thinking they have been custom fit, when in reality they have been sold one of the OEM's offerings that probably are not the best combination for that individual. In effect they walk out of the store leaving yards and accuracy behind and a big hole in their wallet.

But in the age of analytics your data did not lie. Your precision of analysis (and the resultant improvement in his accuracy and distance) speaks for itself. Well done and so informative! Guys - great video. You guys inspired me to get a driver fitting because I am a high spin player. Currently in a 10.5 2016 M-2 with an old Speeder 57 shaft. Yesterday, I spent an hour and $100 and walked away disappointed because we could not find anything that improved on my M-2 and my 3,500 RPM spin. M-3 gave best results but only a couple of yards. The fitter did not have many of the newer drivers, any of the lower spin versions and very few shaft options (stock only). I have a 96 mph driver swing speed, play to a 4 handicap and can only get 215-220 carry and 235 total. Angle of attack seems to be a problem. Thank goodness I am pretty good with the irons. Sure wish that you guys were within driving distance but Canada's a long way from Alabama.

What can I say, amazing demonstration of proving that every golf should have fitted clubs, that there is help beyond taking golf lessons. Most of us high handicappers believe the problem is our own physical ability to hit the ball straighter and further. Also proving once again that the TXG is the place to purchase fitted golf clubs. Also appreciate the knowledge and insight to understand the path, launch, spin, apex and loft numbers thank you once again. Await your future videos with batted breath.

Awesome video chaps! True scholars and gentlemen you are! Great to see some comedy squeaking its way in. Shawn Clement, aka Skinny Will Ferrell has got a great instruction-based channel in that respect. He also reminds me of the hilarious Mr. D (for the 57 Canadians who've watched that show). If I were writing a mini review - which I'm apt to do, being so impressed with the quality of the videos and the discourse within them - this is how it might read: It's difficult to put into well-phrased words just what Matt's contribution to the videos is, but it is significant. He's instrumental in adding depth, without stepping on Ian's toes or taking over, and he's really helped to turn the already soft sell of getting a fitting, into nothing more than a purely logical decision... For golfers of All skill levels. It's like he's your average chill dude down the block 'everyman' (except for his ball striking), but a sharp one who asks the right questions, gives insightful comments, offers up his own analysis for critique, all with a playful attitude, which makes for a very watchable half hour. There's a lot of stuff to know, and I get the feeling from watching the videos that Matt wants to be/certainly can be a fitter, being proficient already, and learning the tech deeper by the day... But all in all, that even he knows he hasn't totally internalized it all yet, like Ian and the other fitters likely have. His top quality in my observation, is that he seems to have a solid instinct for, and understanding of, how skeptical people may think in a given situation, and is aware enough to preemptively and logically dispel any potential issues people may take with how the data/fitting is organized. When you pair Matty with Ian's pure charisma, data analytics, and Shaolin master club fitting/equipment knowledge, that's a winning combination that we are all benefiting from!!!! Keep up the content you champions!

Appreciate you taking the time to give us your thoughts, and thank you for the kind words. Nice to know that our vision and goals for the channel are being picked up on. I've definitely tried to take the role of the 'question guy' from the beginning, and viewers might find it interesting to know that the initial plan for the channel didn't have me in front of the camera at all - just something we tried out during one of the early shoots and kind of rolled with since. Ian actually brought me on to produce the channel based on my experience producing Shawn Clement's channel through my digital creative agency. Having been involved in the golf industry for many years, I quickly understood that Ian's knowledge and ability are very unique much like Shawn's. With each passing week, it becomes more and more clear that this channel has a lot of value to viewers and that's been motivating both of us to keep improving and developing the platform. So long story short, it's been a really cool evolution since day one. We're excited to see what the future brings!

Excellent video and great information. I have a better understanding of the data provide by the swing monitors/simulators. Unfortunately I feel I have been rushed through the fitting process in stores because they want to get you out of there in a hurry. For the average Joe, if we see any gain in distance we buy it... For this guy to gain 10 mph in club head speed in a fitted driver is incredible!... And who would have recommended or thought to lower the driver loft for a high handicapper. Understanding dynamic loft and static loft put together with spin rates is a very good lesson learned... Your competitors will probably not like this video... I also like the fact that as this guys swing improves he will most likely need another adjustment... I very much like the fact that you built the club to his current (consistent) swing and not to a change your swing to fit this club... Good job and thanks for posting this video...

Fantastic video!!! Like everyone else, I am clicking 10(or maybe 1000) times a day to see if new content has been posted. To echo some of the comments below, would be great to know at the end of these fittings: 1. Final specs chosen 2. Cost of specs chosen 3. How different would results have been with 'no-upcharge' shafts 4. How different would results have been if the same driver had been modified with a new shaft / setting combo

I am so IMPRESSED seeing an actual fitting done and SEE the results! Wow you guys are fantastic!!! I would love to get fitted for my Clubs and Irons from you guys! I have bought clubs (I will not say where) but asked to be fitted, I was told to play a few rounds with them and see. Well I played and was getting frustrated as I kept chunking and pulling shots. I'm usually a good iron player. So I got a fitting appointment and wasn't measured for anything all I was told was that I had the ball to far forward in my stance! Mind you it seemed to work while I was there then on the course I was back to chunking and pulling. I was never fitted either for my Callaway Draw driver but I did see some changes when I got it. Oh my handicap is 25- 30 but I used to have a 12 handicap. Age and a physical condition has taken the best of me. Trying to figure how I could get down there From Montreal QC LOL
