I’m hanging onto my PO for Virtus - for now - but the Abaddon preorder is a non-starter in my eyes at the moment. XTB did just post that they’re supposedly redesigning Locke, but until I have paid for shipping only and have a tracking number, I’m not expecting this to go smoothly.

yeah, if I'm buying a transformer figure, I'd better be able to transform it and play with it. I know some others just keep it in one mode but I prefer flipping back & forth. so I'm fine with fewer paint, some compromise on asthetics but better tolerance

The neck will tab in. Its the wheel arch things under the head that need repositioning

Re-release him maybe a little darker, no tail, no target masters. Just the figure, faces, gun, and MAYBE the energon pack from the movie for under $100 and I think he'll be a hit.

I’m actually good with the Koot I have. I don’t need to be that screen accurate ( especially for a cartoon where the characters look different from frame to frame ) to deal with this level of QC issues. Great video and good luck.

If the V2 Locke isn’t any better will be getting Fanstoys. As I want a quality figure not just look good because I’m not touching it. But toon wise XTB wins even the butt flap is a toon thing strange how some people didn’t notice that I guess cause it’s a butt flap lol. But I highly advise people holding off till V2 Locke doesn’t make sense getting the V1 with all the QCs.

All the problems with locke make me kinda sad. I was and kinda still am looking forward to virtus and I want it so badly to be good. If it's truly bad I'll probably settle for mmc, but I don't truly want to.

X-Transbots can definitely put out a really good figure. I have several that I like a lot. But the inconsistency means you don't know what to expect, and so I don't pre-order anything from the company. I'll wait for reviews to come out and if they release a good figure that fills a niche that is going unfilled, then I'm happy to step up and buy it. That is what has changed for me. I don't trust them sight unseen. By contrast, I'm at the point where I pre-order on day one for most FansToys releases. The demand is so great, and I have that level of trust that I've lost where X-Transbots is concerned.

Saw this video and having version 2, I decided to watch just to see what the review was about. Well, I completely agree with you on Xtransbots as they do make some very good figures but are very inconsistent. I tend to watch a review first before buying.

I always liked Kup. The nimble old battled hardened war veteran. I like the sculpt and articulation of the xtransbots offering. But, it seems a little too expensive for the number of QC issues. If they can’t fix it, then at least lower the price.

I had a breakage issue with a KFC Ditka I bought months ago on sale at BBTS. I messaged Keith or XTB/KFC representative on TFW2005 and waited for weeks but received no none zero zilch response. So unless the retailer has a return policy and a breaks occur within the window of opportunity to return/refund, I wouldn't advise taking chances with XTB/KFC figures. At least FT has good after sales customer service. And Takara they have none, thanks for playing.

WIth all the issues Xtranbots figures have, i would not recommend preordering any of them. Just wait for the reviews to come out on them first, its not like Xtransbots ever sell out on preorder anyways

it's such a shame really because i think this murders koot in everyway, but it was a piece of trash i had to send it back i ended up losing out on 25 quid to with tfexpress they didnt refund my deposit so yeah i'm kinda still pissed, i wont ever pre order an xtransbot piece again, i'll wait for the reviews

Bro is xtransbot paying you? There is no way you can say that xtransbot doesn't look like a cheap poor quality knock off. As an artist of over 35 yrs Fanstoys is better hands down.

LOL Keith can pay me that would be great! Compared to Fanstoys and the animation they both have their good and bad points. My Fanstoys is not going anywhere but keeping this guy also
