Cinnamon coloured domestic Hen makes a good Landrail/Corncrake substitute. It was used a lot in Sedge and Rail patterns in Ireland for many years. Another beauty Davie.

Hi Davie, your series of T. C. Kingsmill Moore flies prompted me to order his book 'A Man May Fish', which has proven a real treasure! On page 55, last paragraph, he mentions a fly that he calls the "Blue Body Black Hackle... an Irish name... In Scotland it is known as Cairn's Fancy." Do you know this fly and might you demonstrate its tying? Thanks for considering.
