Exactly. Every human child wants to be with their biological family if at all possible. It is needed for proper development. @Zahra-wd3md7 ай бұрын
@summerhill93 I agree. But I don't know about the giving her back part. Because I don't think that would be healthy for Carly either, because she did get used to B&T being her parents. And she was raised by them. That could confuse her. And would take away stabiluty. But they do need to spend more than just 1 day a year together. And from what I understand, most of the time, they didn't even get that and wouldn't see her for a couple of years. They could celebrate holidays together or birthdays. With the adoption, they clearly said once a year visit and pictures. Carly should be able to bond with her sisters also. I think it would be harder to bond if they just see each other once in a couple of years. I think B&T are selfish. Carly may be afraid to bring it up, because she doesn't want to hurt her adoptive parents feelings, but I'm sure that she would like to spend more time with her family. Maybe they could change the law that they may have more time to change their mind. Especially with minors. And it should be prohibited to let minors sign without an independant lawyer present, who represent the birth parents rights. And if adoptive parents, don't do what was agreed upon, that a lawyer could force them to hold their promiss unless there are heavy reasons, not to. Just like they take care of visitation rights with divorced parents. And maybe 'force' adoptive parents to let their child see them for at least 2 or 3 hours a year.

This is an argument that is used, that the adopted child has bonded, but the genetic tie is a natural bond and a biological need. As a mom I can understand why they would say no to a visit. They’re literally on a p*rn website. People know who they are, they know who their daughter is, and they know who the adopted parents are because they’re on tv. That opens their daughter up for p*d*philes to come find her. It’s just common sense to not allow your child around people who are doing that. Catelyn and Tyler have messed up big time because now everything they do on that website is going to come back and bite their kids in the butt. They also chose to give her up for adoption, they chose to sign their parental rights away to somebody else. That being said the adoptive parents hold all the rights and the power to make decisions for their daughter, they have the right to protect her and say no. I get people wanting to make some extra cash, I get they’re consenting adults, and “can do whatever tf they want” but when you are public with your children on the front row of the internet it’s probably not the greatest idea to start using a p*rn website to make extra money because of your kids safety and future.

Happens all the time. Many adoptive parents will promise the moon until they are legally the baby's parents, then refuse to acknowledge their child actually has biological relatives, and do everything they can to thwart any curiosity or longing in the child to know the truth. Religious types are often especially good at shaming and guilting their adopted children into silence. As far as I understand the situation, the adoption was an open adoption whether that be verbally or in writing (open adoption agreement) and if one party does not abide by the agreements made, the other party can use the services of a lawyer to go to court. The court then may make the agreement legally binding. For it sounds to me it was verbally. Sorry, but from the start it all should have been done in writing/documents instead of meeting the adoptive parents and expressing each others wishes and agreeing and disagreeing and leaving it at that. You are not getting the child unless you agree and abide to those terms. Sign here. And have a clause in the agreement to where if one party abuses those terms these are the consequences of. A written agreement should also be provided by the adoption agency.

It really shows a lack of character. Sure they don’t have to because they’re the adoptive parents, but that was what they told them as young children and in that episode it was made very apparent to Teresa and Brandon that they had very troubled childhood and Kaitlyn talked about you know how she wanted her to have the stable home that she never had and she was like moving around like 13 times it’s disgraceful that they’ve chosen to completely cut them off like that. Carly has a whole school and I’m sure some watch the show , don’t you think that has some kind of effect on her? I don’t blame her adoptive parents for the way they raised her. If Cait & Tyler truly wanted a visit they don’t have to do all that. Sure talk about you’re going to visit but the cameras do not need to be any where near it. Totally private even if they don’t mention it before it happens, visit then mention it if you want. Because it didn't cost them a small fortune to adopt her ? What MONEY? NO ONE ever predicted these two would parlay their teen pregnancy into a career. So money ? Those two came from NOTHING. THEY adopted her because of money is the wildest comment I have EVER read.

They should get over it, they gave her up for adoption.
