John Prine was an incredible storyteller and entertainer. Tyler Childers is cut from the same cloth. Love his delivery of storytelling. Kentucky has produced some great musicians. Prine with roots there.

Prime is amazing at writing and selling the story, but when Tyler does others songs i end up with an in-depth understanding of the song like never before, it’s the specialist of his many gifts.

This is my least favorite Tyler cover. Sturgill did it better. But this is still good

Not my least favorite but you can’t deny he keeps getting better for the sake of True Country Musics Sake. Save On
@charleschaffee705810 ай бұрын
@@christomlinson9319 He's really good. I've been all the way across the country twice (once to Red Rocks in Colorado; once to Railbird in Lexington, Kentucky) to see the guy play. When he's not trying to "outwoke" the next guy (telling everyone in his area of Lawrence County, Ky. that they need to get vaccinated; validating the BLM movement with recorded messages and the song "Long Violent History," romanticizing a story about gay miners, etc., etc.) he's very good for the country music culture. And even when he's doing the things so many of us from the actual culture don't agree with, he's still very good for the musical direction of country, and he's sticking it to the Nashville Pop Machine as an artist. I like the dude. I just don't think he did a very good job--by his standards--on this cover.
