So glad I came across Tyler's music. Besides being just generally great and real the way my grandfather was, I immediately heard grandpa's way of speaking, phraseology, mannerisms, etc. It's like I get to kind of hang out & listen to him talk for a while. Reminds me of the authentic song writing and singing of John Prine or Steve Goodman. Great music and stories Tyler, keep up the good work.

I never listened to country. Until I found Childers

I mean this as a compliment. I hope Tyler Childers, and everyone else takes it right. He gets a crazy Charles Manson look in his eyes when the sound gets right.

Wish I would have had discovered Tyler before when I did earlier this year so I could have seen him playing in my hometown. I would so love to see him back in Bristol, VA!

God blessed Tyler Childers. And all of us. Beautiful hillbilly lullabies full of rigid, rugged truth. Powerful and sinfully relatable. Thank God I’m still here to hear it. Cause there’s things I recall, and things that are hazy… mad love from Tennessee 🧡💪🏼🇺🇸.

You cannot even attempt to sing along, it ruins the vibe, his songs are like the ocean, you just sit and listen. “Too often I reach for things I know that’ll keep me from being all that I can...”
@mmehrhof3 жыл бұрын
Tyler is one of my favorites. I’m a serious metal head, but I love good music in every form. Tyler, Billy Strings, Marcus King… don’t say there’s no good new music out. You sound foolish. There’s tons! All 3 of those young men and as real as it gets. And are just as talented as anyone to come before them.

I love the ambiguity in "Too often I reach for things I know keep me from bein' all that I can... like a man.". Is it "like a man" to be all you can, or is it "like a man" to reach for things that prevent you from doing so? The obvious answer is "Yes".

I think you could make the argument that Tyler is one of the best songwriters Country music has ever seen
