This kind of open conversation from strong, successful men is truly invaluable. Thank you Dax, Tyler, Monica, and Rob.

It was a brief moment, but it was the BEST example of simply one person having the awareness and courage to ask a question and learn something, and then not being judged or reprimanded for not understanding. I now also know that “gal” has a derogatory meaning. Thank you both.

I learned something new too! And I always thought gal was kinda a cute way to say girl. And now will refrain :)

I loved this fact check so much. It brought me back to season one of you too. Carefree and so much love! And giggles. I love when you guys get in the giggles (especially when Dax was talking about his bed making skills, and Moni about her second home “Ga”) it’s such an innocent sneak peek into such a special relationship. Can’t wait for more giggles and fun for 2025 =]

Happy New Year, beautiful humans! Happy Birthday, Dax! Thank you for being you, Tyler! Enjoyed this episode so much. The Six Triple Eight was epic (as are all Tyler Perry films, huge fan here), full of all the emotions. I have goosebumps just thinking about it. My grandfather served in WWII and I was named after the ship he sailed on in the Navy. Never in my life did I hear these incredible women's story. I'm so grateful to Tyler for telling it!

This type of authenticity makes these men true to them first, and we all need to see and hear them. Listening to them share this should allow all of us to look inside and think about all those times that we remember. Those times in our lives that marked us and why. And how, looking back, we see how all these negative things impacted our lives. Do you remember more wonderful, exciting stuff over things that, maybe now, are much more negative and potentially very harmful to us? It is, maybe for some, very sad... However, I am proud of these men for showing others they can say it out loud. When you can breathe now and talk through it, you can finally take a free, honest, and healing breath. I genuinely hope it helps everyone who listens. If you feel the need to seek out someone for you... I encourage you to do so. Thank you, Dax and Tyler.

Great interview!!! Also, Dax, you look so great in glasses! Ur always so handsome but I had no idea that u were also one of those people who look even moreso in glasses. I wish I could pull mine off, I can't seem to figure out which shape works best with my face yet so I'm constantly changing them up.

What a gentle giant! I saw Six Triple Eight and then made my parents watch it (which we all loved it) and I became curious about TP the person. This couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Such a beautiful soul despite all he has faced and wonderfully whole and happy. Happy new year y'all! 🎉

11:03 I have been struggling with self blame as well and while listening to another podcast called soft white underbelly, during an interview with “Seth” (time stamp at something like 28min mark but I highly recommend listening to the whole interview)… he said that in the moment he knew that what was happening wasn’t right and he froze, which basically gave his attacker consent. I had never been able to put into words about how I felt and still feel until I heard this. The amount of blame we put on ourselves is pure torture.

I wish these were numbered like they are on Spotify, so it's easier to keep up with the order.

I learned a lot this episide: The typical American experiences of not knowing who our biological parents are, the terminology that secretly combined sexism and racism, and a theory of our sexuality development. This is why I heart you all so much! My beef is that I am a teacher, so two weeks of time that I had open for new content was all stuff I heard before. Tell Mon we need VAULT tracks for the breaks. Like the extra stuff that we didn't hear or new content that is for us die hards on break who want new stuff. Tell the interns!!!!

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday Dax! This is a little odd but I always thought “Indian Style” was alluding to Native Americans. I assumed it was a derogatory reference to the indigenous people lifestyle before Europeans arrived.
@erin7234 күн бұрын
Loved Dax’s French kissing analogy. I wonder what made “Indian style” derogatory to begin with. This SPECIFIC example feels like the arbitrary determination of a word being a swear/curse/bad word. So many of these words are viewed very differently depending on culture or region. F*ck is so bad here in America (it hurt my soul to censor it) but regular vocabulary in England or Ireland for example.
@margaritafiduccia65623 күн бұрын
I thought so too.
@hollymorrison22613 күн бұрын
@@erin723Great point, I think it is regional/national like you said. I live in Oklahoma so I’m sure that affects my perception. The term Indian for Native Americans might be the issue since this name was mistakenly given to the First People by the Europeans on their arrival. I can think of a lot of names to use when referring to Native Americans but I wouldn’t use Indian, as a white person.

Oops! I didn’t know this was about fantasy. WHY do humans need to have an eternal daddy? Talking about God is so disappointing. HUMANS DO EVERYTHING And people will still say oh thank God! It was a miracle. NO NO NO it’s always HUMANS. Not interested in this type of archaic thinking
