I think its because they did past present AND future. I agree with Tyler that it felt all over the place, and before I saw it wasn't the same timeline I appreciated it more. But in the moment I was definitely like "dude what fucking time period are we looking at right now" and felt very lost.

The call was awful. Random Taliyah. Awful shurima and Kaisa again. Panth was cool but that’s it. Still Here was also the better song. Far more emotional whereas the only good part of the call was the part where the instrumental kicks in when Panth fights the random dudes.

Then they hear about some village. Rumors say that it`s completely safe so they try to find it and find. But it was destroyed and abandoned. They find another void tunnel so Kaisa silently says goodbye to Taliyah and goes down. After that scene - next is Belweth introduction cinematic with Kaisa. I thought that after the 2022 cinematic they would show us the story of the void invasion on the Runterra. Like Orn crafting the weapon and so on. In Song of Nunu (game) there are a lot of hints about it. But it realised +- a

But I don`t see anyone who notices this small detail. I read somewhere (I don't remember where so this can be not completely accurate) that Morgana and Kayle have equal power, and it rises. So they could become the strongest beings in the whole Runterra.

It is also Kindred lambs arrow shooting at Yasuo, and you can also see Kindred when Aatrox is engulfed in flames. Since Kindred represents something like a god of death, lamb being a peaceful, accepted death and wolf hunting those who can't. And since Tryn not only does not die due to his ult, he keeps fightning death itself when he attacks lamb, it tilts it heads, as if it were curious why that thing would or could, fight death itself. Tryn is not actually fightning Kindred, he is fighting the guys you see before, and you see Ashe shoot the last two, so Tryns time has not come yet so Kindred lowers its weapon and disappears.

I personally feel that 2024's has better animation and storyboarding. On Awaken I don't like that a lot of actions feel weightless, it feels almost as if they mocaped everything but didn't bother exaggerating the animations further

2024 was a mixed bag Whole morg and kayle fight looked goofy with their syd from ice age looking asses. Yasuo's choreography was weird because it looked like his sword never connected with the bad guys, but at least the graphics looked good. And then trynd part was just bomb

The attack on the village was from another group of ionians and Yasuo didnt want to kill them, at some point there is a zoom in that shows he usinng the wind on the sword to knock out them instead of kill, thats why there aint blood either, and the last guy yasuo actually save buy pushing him out of the storm of arrows, and then he dies accepting the Lamb's arrow

This was a bit more lore heavy than the previous ones and i can understand that for a casual player it felt worse than others, but holly it was epic if you are a lore enjoyer. The small details. Kayle being dissapointed that morgana is using magic in the ancient demacia and aswell for surendering her sword to do that. Yasuo surendering his blade and wind magic to be peaceful, but understanding that he cant do that, but still only using wind magic to knowck them out and not kill them and just finally dying as an old man. And oh man, trynda vs kindred. Wolf being ferocious and trynda fighting back while lamb is just basically watching and offering the peaceful arrows from time to time, but not trying, because it is a kill for the wolf since trynda refuses to die. Trynda fighting off kindred while in reality killing 4 enemy soldiers and then ashe saving him making kindred disapear since death is not immanent for trynda any more. That was some great show not tell story telling, just i can agree that not for the casual player, but still good enough.

Casting aside recency bias, t1 is right and the new one really can't compete with Awaken or The Call. - The environments are much smaller and super empty (basically a greenscreen half the time) - Lacking vfx (Aatrox looks like a toy and Kayle/Morg's abilities look weak af) - Lacking exciting fights (Aatrox just gets cc'd and gives up, Yasuo and Trynd/Ashe fighting minions. Trynd vs. Kindred is the only decent part.) - No hype screenshot moments (only 2 arrows followed by a npc run with zero emotion? Damn Ashe really hates her husband) - Weak song (just compare to the music sync in The Call) Lorewise it is interesting and the graphics are at least better than Warriors and Ruination (you are 100% trolling if you think it looks better than The Call).

Understandable but for me, it's on par with the call. The only thing the call has an edge was pantheon's graphics and ungodly matchcuts. Still here has better storyboard and pacing. I'm with you with the aatrox and kayle lacking things but this cinematic has better attention to detail and connection, connecting everything to one thing; Death, Kindred.Yasuo part was the most insane thing if you know his lore. Dude has the wind with him for years and all it brings was death. He's fed up with killing that's why he got no sword and using the staff to fight at first and eventually used the one masked guy's sword instead. It's even emphasized how he's using the wind now to knockout the masked guys and not killing them hence no bloodshed/splatter was seen. He even tried saving the leader by pushing him away from the volley of arrows and accepted his death euth lamb's arrow. No hype screenshot? I've got many lol the aatrox pose, kayle side eye, ascension. Sisters looking at the sky with tons of dead bodies on the background, even their faces with ancient demacia bg, yasuo drawing a line, the soft nodge to show his scars, him closing his eyes, splitting arrows, even him standing up after getting kicked, the tornado pose with wolf's eyes and lamb's arrow, any shots in trynd vs kindred is godly, the lamb head tilt and even the ashe arrows coming behind lamb is hype and trynd's undying rage wearing off. Tons of screenshot worthy aesthetics, you just lack taste. Weak song? Nah the song suits the whole cinematic as how the call's music suits that cinematic with horns representing Ornn. While Still here can be correlated to the characters facing death that they're still there and also kindred itself. They're still here.

Anyone who isn’t a new player should have little trouble understanding it. And of course you can grab generic screenshots (even 2023 can produce a few) but just take a moment and compare it to the other cinematics. Do you really think 2 oversized blue arrows hitting minions is comparable to the highlights of Awaken, The Call or even Warriors? The music ramps and goes into chorus way too early, and afterwards it’s just looping. I can understand why because they wanted to split the video into 3 parts (past, future, present) but without switching perspectives like previous cinematics, but it makes the song repetitive and removes all necessary buildup. It also just doesn’t fit well for a cinematic that wants to be more emotional instead of hype.
