A wise choice, selecting the Drifta draws. I installed the Drifta draw system for work and camping, back in 2012. I have used them nearly every day, for over 8 years without a problem. One of the best and certainly the most useful modification I ever made to my Hilux.

I came across your channel during the lockdown, just wanted to say I’m loving the content. Presented in an instructive but not “I know everything” kind of way. Super helpful for things I’m not so sure about and with your videos it points me in the right direction to do some more research on. I know how long it takes to produce a video, so thanks, but please keep it up. From a subscriber.

Gotta luv Drifta. Their work is top notch and precise. Just fitted a drawer system from Drifta into a new Pajero and couldn’t be happier. Their service and build quality is really awesome. Your Dad should be a very happy man when out at camp next time. 😉🍺

I had the exact same Drifta drawer system in my Y62 Patrol, it worked really well. The Engel 40litre is a good choice. They need to be run for at least 8 hours per month to keep the fridge internals tip top according to Engel.

Looks like a perfect setup for the MU-X. The Drifta system is brilliant! I am planning something similar for my Fortuner. Now your dad just needs to save up for a diff lock to give the old girl half a chance on the tracks. I reckon the TC on that car doesn't work properly.

Lithium is the Bomb ;) I use to run duel battery's 210amps all up and allways use the lot plus bloody heavy. Dropped in 100amp Lithium and now i can run duel fridge, oven, kettle, light's and charge everything without a Drama. As for Victron i had it but Honestly what a waste of money that was. I ended up returning it as Bluetooth distance was crap. Purchased a 60 dollar Unit to replace the Victron and does the same bloody Job without bluetooth obviously and the price tag win win... Next he needs Lockers ;)

Yep the Lithium definitely seems like the go. Hopefully get a locker in the near future!

The Drifta drawers are top notch. That's a 40 litre Engel by the way. They don't make a 50 litre.

Ill have to double check with dad but looking at up around $3000 fitted. The lithium battery is the most expensive part

just removed the back seats from my dual cab and re-registered it as a 2 seater. no engineering needed just needs to be checked over by Vicroads. a simple and quick process with no charge.
