Great vid TT, ...but this comment mainly concerns the guys down at S&P that did all the work..Fellas, AWESOME job, very specific and very professional in smallest detail with the small things like wiping down the FW, and both guys each double checking bolts, basically doing the job properly eg doing bolts up and in proper order and with the correct tools like a TW (unlike the guys on a performance tv show in Melb couldn't even get this right working on 100k+ HSVs using the rattle gun as a torque wrench) therefore am definately coming to you guys for all future mechanical work and recommending to others too.. ...oh and the explaining of what does what and where and why just made you guys even more awesome which just showed the guys DO know what they are talking about! Well done..👍👍👍

Hey Tyler. I'm running an 18g with the ufi 11m 200hp pump, also TMIC. If your looking for a little more lower town torque and faster spool time, I suggest looking into larger intakeanifolds. I cut the top off mine, lifted the top my 50mm and moved the feed to the front of the manifold. The difference in responsiveness was amazing. Really enjoyed watching this series, that's a well built GQ.

A very good mod to do to stop cylinder 6 from over heating is take head off take the welch plug out of the back of the head put fitting into it then plumb it to the cooling system . You will find your car will still get hot too hot with large tyres driving in soft sand without this mod.

I have a gq so loved watching it. Also I have a np300 which my wife drives. It's actually made me think if I wanted to do this or not! It would be so expensive. Cost for all this would be nice to know. I can sort of see the advantages of the nav now, it has most of this already done. I loved the vid opened my eyes to the extreme expense of making a capable gq 4x4. For an Aussie battler I don't think I can condone it. But love to see what it would be like if I could do it.

Here are some rough numbers from someone who has d9ne a very similar build. 18g turbo, $2200 Pump, $3000 TMIC, $1000 eBay special, or $2500 bif name brand Exhaust, $2000 Gauges and bits, $500 Clutch, $1500 installed Tune, $400 4" Snorkel with airbox, $1000 Bonnet scoop, $1500 eBay, installed. Do it in your driveway, about 1 month worth of weekends with a few days off. Do it at a shop, 4-5 days and $4-$8k labour.
