fun fact: the FC-31 v1.0 was made as an experimental project of Shenyang on how to build a 5gen fighter jet from scratch as quick as possible, with quick design iterations based on digital design and 3D printing tech. This thing going from screen to the air *in 18-30 months.* (my poor memory forgot which is right) So yeah, it looks like a crappy plastic toy (actually there's many ppl criticized Shenyang for that even in China, they laughing on the bad quality of FC-31 and believe that only Chengdu really knows how to build a 5gen fighter jet), but when you can build a brand new stealth fighter jet from scratch in 2 years, it's no so bad...
