#bach_abend I think that such commenting is up to the greatest professors that the jury consists of. I presume that you are not one of them. Since they let him play in the first round of CPC they appreciated his playing. There is no sole, proper interpretation of Chopin and it's not for you to judge, kid. This pianist is still very young and yet extremely talented. There is a lot of time till the first round started and until that time he can be only better. Excellent rendition, technically clean, perfect and full of emotion, he plays with the soul... by the way,, I HATE SO CALLED EXPERTS THAT CRITICISE EVERYTHING... Try to play the way he does and then you 'll understand the amount of effort and talent you need to play like this.. better to shut up

This guy will not pass the next round, poor imagination and intepretations. Does not know what double repetition is (the begining of a minor etude and ballade). Techinque is not professional, the culmination of the ballade is horrible. Could someone from the polish teachers tell him that it is not appropriate to play on such level on Chopin competition ?

+bach abend well he did passed, and he played better than most of the competitors in the preliminary round. why don't you make a video of a better performance explaining how chopin has to be interpreted?

i actually liked how he played, technique isn't important, emotions are. Even Rubinstein made mistakes, and his technique was worse than Pollini's. Fewer and fewer ppl can play Chopin well nowadays

@@agamaz5650 you cannot project emotions without good technique. Emotions is the nuances and ur touch, both of these require good technique. Someone without good technique might put emotions but his performance wont be good and the nuances he's gonna try to make wont be well executes.Imo the best for Chopin(ballade,barcarolle,fantaisie op49, concerto n2 1st movement) is Zimmerman and his technique is on point. Rubinstein is very good for the nocturne in fact, he's by far the best but his ballades less good.
