Giselle, I hope you are doing better. :) I just wanted to say that your channel is the best thing on KZbin. If any other channel disappeared, something could replace it, but you are just so unique and joyful and hardworking. It's so amazing to see the way you and your colony work and how every day and every season is different and purposeful. I love putting on your videos while I cook. It helps me enjoy the small things and the routine in life. Take care!

I know you think your cleaning, cooking, gardening vlogs are repetitive, but so many of us enjoy them. I love a clean and organized home, and can watch it for hours. I love when my home has been deep cleaned and organized, and honestly I become a little bit crabby if people don't keep it that way. At least keep it clean for a while. I know, nothing lasts forever. Hope you have a great week coming up!

I was wondering, do your church elders watch your videos? I hope they do and can see what a blessing and testimony they are to so many of us. While we can't become Hutterite, we can, ( and I do!) take many lessons from your way of life. Thank you for taking the time and using a God given talent to show us a beautiful Christian lifestyle.

Wear plastic gloves when you are cleaning or washing things--and your hands won't crack so much when you go out into the cold with your hands still damp. Use LOTS of hand cream to prevent the cracking before it happens... (Twice a day if need be)

I love watching you clean because you clean like my mother did, And how I did as well when I was younger. When I was much younger and living at home it was my job to wash the slop pail that we collected all the kitchen scraps in, and then fed to the pigs. That was a messy job and I hadn't thought about it in a long time until I saw you wash the lid to your bin. Now in my '70s, I can't manage cleaning that thoroughly anymore, But there's nothing nicer in your home than knowing that it is spick and span from top to bottom 💕

Giselle, thank you for a wonderful vlog. What I like abut it, and what many maybe like about it, is that you are not afraid to be yourself, to be less than perfect, and to be non-judgmental about others. You never appear to be high and mighty. So, don't worry about how long the vlog is, or how perfect it is, we love them just as they are.

Thank you for another uplifting and amazing vlog. It’s so inspirational how you are so excited for cleaning. I love seeing your walks, all the scenery is spectacular. Your vlog put me in such a good mood. I have a huge smile on my face. If I ever feel down I put on one of your vlogs on and it cheers me up. All that harvesting is making me hungry. The drone clips look amazing. See next time.

hello Giselle!! so good to see you! ahhh Blessed Assurance...an assurance i sometimes must remind myself of. not only does He belong to me,but also i to Him. Girl to have half your energy and dedication would be a miracle!!! so many arthritic aches and pains makes some simpler tasks seem to take for ever!! lol! but through all the "envy" i enjoy your vlogs! beautiful vegetables!! we have had a few mornings in the 30s...brr! did i tell you my fourth great grandchild(girl) will be born a few days after Christmas? i'll have one boy(oldest) and 3 girls. i have been praying salvation and health for my grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great for years. someone prayed for me. i hope this next week will be less busy and you will give us more drone pictures of your lovely valley. say hello to your family and thank them for sharing.

Giselle, regarding your dry hands, have you ever tried using solid coconut oil as a hand balm? It smells wonderful and really helps the skin retain moisture. Also, maybe try wearing dish washing gloves when doing your cleaning? That was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw you dipping your hands into a bucket full of water.

I have found taking your regular Cookie recipe that contains gluten and converting it to Gluten Free works really well. You will need to add 1/2 teaspoon of Guar Gum or Xanthan gum per cup of flour. (If you leave this out, it will be gritty.) An easy all purpose gf flour is 3 cups rice flour, 2 cups potato starch and 1 cup Tapioca Flour/Starch. (if you want a healthier mix you could put some corn flour, sorghum, amaranth or 'some' chickpea in place of some of the rice flour.............teff and millet might be too earthy for cookies, but great for bread.) With your sensitivity to gluten, you really should wear a mask when you measure out gluten for the colony. Rubbing your hands with a mix of coconut oil and hemp oil might help with the dryness you have in the winter.

Hi Giselle, I saved this until the guys went to bed so hopefully I will not get interrupted. So good to protect your knees with knee pads. Do you eat those mushrooms? That was a great fire. It’s too dry here to have any fires. Good for you for not making deadlines. I think work goes much quicker and easier without a deadline. The tomatoes will ripen in paper sacks. You can also use green tomatoes for a relish or Chow chow as some folks call them. Those are great looking cauliflower. You are in Canada. I understand it’s cold. Did you ever get your plant well? I just thought of that seeing the plants on the windowsill. I’m one of those other people. I would watch you all day. So relaxing for me. Thank you for the video. Much enjoyed. Hi Priscilla!

With all those green tomatoes, you should use them for something. Another treatment for dry or cracked hands is to use an ointment like Neutrogena, put on a good amount before going to bed, and cover your hands with cotton gloves and sleep with them on😊

You need to wear rubber gloves when you are cleaning. For cracked hands, smear them thickly with vaseline, put on some old socks and go to bed. When you wake up, the skin on your hands will be nice and soft again. If they are in bad shape, do it again. This can work on feet too, if your heels are cracked and sore. Do you ever use Hokaido pumpkins? You don't have to peel them and they taste great. Very popular in Germany. Looks like you are doing your own drone filming. How fun!

April and October are the seasons to prepare a home for the future months. All clean! Also, a time for home repairs like knobs that are loose or the light that needs a bulb. We wash off the light bulbs with a cloth to remove the dust that dims the light. The Lord's house is a house of order and brightness.

I'm almost crying over all the green tomatoes left in the garden. They would ripen just fine indoors And a lot of people never have access to garden produce. Would your colony ever consider donating them to the food bank? Also, you could make a chow chow pickle, And also green mustard pickles out of them. Both are delicious
