Just curious, but what is the point of pitting them against each other? Different things for different people. Everyone is working with what they have to work with and trying to entertain people to make a living. May mot be my cup of tea, but also not a big deal. Unless I missed them throwing shaed at each other, no need for us to do it. Now the one guy who actually hurts his pets and fish he catches, toss him under the bus all day.

I showed this video to my kids, age 5 and 3, to show them the moments a fisherman live for. Needless to say, they have been talking about fishing, playing imaginary fishing games, and asking to go fishing ever since. Your video has helped me instill a bit more love and excitement for one of my passions in my kids. Thanks man. You’re incredibly fortunate you weren’t fighting that monster in and amongst obstructions, because the only thing I’ve ever seen with their aptitude for the old loop-and-snap are big grouper. Shane--"Alright, whaddya need from me?" I LOL'd at this line. I'm always solo when kayak fishing and when I get into a good fish I think "I wish I had some help" but then I realize there isn't much anyone can do but watch. I let the fish give me a sleigh ride until they're threatening to spool me then I give chase. Patience and luck are good fishing companions.

@@RCichard even though snapping turtle has seven different types of meat they still require being purged because they live on the bottom and eat anything that is dead, or that they can catch. That drag screaming was INTENSE, I’ve had it twice while battling 10 to 15 pound spring salmon but those fights never lasted more than 10 minutes. I have yet To experience a fight like you had in this video!

Back in the 80's I was fishing with my father at a power plant water discharge channel into Trinity Bay, Texas in the winter. Hooked into a big, bull redfish that took 20 minutes to reel it in. That was a crazy good fishing trip.

The wait was well worth it to see that fish. That was one hell of an aggressive strike. Reminded me of when I got a similar strike from a 6-8 pound bass that I lost. Shit was crazy.. That fish you caught was huge, beautiful. Congrats!!
