In the books, Varys literally plays Tyrion at every single turn they speak. He tricks Tyrion into removing most of Littlefingers men from power and replacing them with his own(just as an example, the captain of the gold cloaks in the book). Tyrion constantly narrates in his head how good he is at politics and how great he is at the game , and Varys is always quick to reinforce this and compliment him, when in reality he literally gets played like a fiddle by Varys.

What I liked in the earlier seasons was that Varys and Tyrion were both unsure of each others motive so couldn’t communicate openly but only in got language. Both of them seek something out in each other. Varys is hoping for a like minded individual with the right last name who can serve the realm for its better-hood since he can only do so much being of low born status and Tyrion seeks an ally who he can rely on if things get heated with Cersei and later on his father when he arrives. "What do you want?" Ah Tyrion is channelling his inner Mr. Morden. Good thing Varys knows better than to answer that question!

I noticed the foreshadowing here with the flames in front of them for the first time.

Rewatching how good this scene is makes me really sad the show ended how it is.

I like how there is no CGI in the scene, like that shot at 3:09, no CGI added there, that is an actual castle in the back.

In that shot, that’s true. But around 2:23, in the background, you can see the Red Keep. All the castle portion that is white is real, while the red stone is CGI. I’ve been to Dubrovnik and seen it in person. But honestly, that’s when CGI is best used- to enhance a setting or story element, not as pure spectacle.

The fire lurking in the down left corner of the scene when they start to talk about dragons is nice foreshadowing
