U-9 Beacon Plumbing: 2023 Guntersville Hydrofest Final Heat

Onboard with Corey Peabody during the Final Heat at the 2023 Guntersville Hydrofest. The heat was stopped due to a flip by Andrew Tate in the U-91 Miss Goodman Real Estate, whose boat was run over by Dustin Echols in the U-40 Bucket List Racing. Neither of those drivers were injured in the collision.

Watch Peabody’s view and ask yourself why is there equal spacing on Runnes/U1 outside? Looked like the rookie also wanted to be a Champion on 1 st time given ok to be on front row. I also think Radio Spotters may have NOT been in Unusual dockside “radio corral” as pits were way far away from course. Tate in 1/2 White boats with huge Rooster tails could easily have been overlooked. (I am about to paint my White Karelson bright Red by chance , lol 😎🔥.) I also saw Jmk last to slow on black flag , rescue won’t get the Ok to go ( means wakes) until ALL are off plane so we don’t cause more accidents. Can’t wait to ask Dustin if he crossed his legs as he passed that Rudder.

Wonder if something happened to Tate's Boat? The last corner before the start his boat took a quick dart to the left. This video shows U9 cutting off U91. He left no room for Tate. U9 came in too far causing Tate to not have his lane.

nah, it was tight-j mike was tight on the buoy line but tate got into j mikes wake and then hopped over to coreys tail-andrew just came unhooked-drone shows better lane separation-i saw that dart too???

Gotta say h1 response time to Tate was awful. Black flag took forever, rescue took forever, no one noticed Tate went over. No penalties given for closing him down but jimmy king got a penalty for going under 80 even though it had no effect on that race, nor did I see it. Starting to look like the APBA days…bad start to a new season. Appreciate h1 keeping the sport going but definitely need to handle things better

Well SAID ! H1 DESPERATELY needs a much better "head" referee. He is Totally at a loss w this fast sport. I vote Steve David as New Head Refferee ASAP !
