I am a paint guy....so anything that speeds up interior cleaning is a god send to me. These pads work well. Thoughts?

They look like they're doing a good job. I bet they're also good on headliners. I'd use P&S 3 Step cleaner.

I'm not a full time detailer... I just do my own stuff and some friends vehicles from time to time......but I found that Lowe's carries a product called folex in a big spray bottle that's dirt cheap and works better than anything I've tried. I do like using the cold water Tide thing sometimes too. These micro fiber pads look pretty cool....the brushes can be rough on some fabrics. I actually paint / restore muscle car's and I always just cut and buffed the paint the old school way.....then I stumbled on your channel and learned so much about paint correction. Now I have about 60 compound's ... tons of different pads ....ceramic spray's....long throw / short DA's....small to large.... and still of course rotaries . In other words I've learned a hell of a lot from you and other's on here. Thanks !

Recurrent theme, pressure washer not turned on, battery not charged 🤣Can relate to that! Love it!

I’d say you know you’re on the good side of healing Brian because the vibrations from the polisher isn’t causing any pain in your left wrist 👍

Absolutely....much better on the rotary.

Love using these! I use them as I would with pad washer. Spin it dry on the ground after each section and keep going. 1 pad for seats, another for carpets.

I’ve used this technique on my homes carpet for removing a traffic pattern stain. I’ve also cleaned furniture upholstery this way too. I don’t have any cloth seats in my vehicles.

I like these pads as they look more flexible than the meguiars microfiber pads I currently use. I use a rotary polisher on cloth too. I like this method because I do not put mold into the foam under the cloth. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

I've been cleaning cloth upholstery this way with Griot's Foaming Upholstery Cleaner and an older 3" microfiber pad on my Griot's 3" polisher... I find the 3-inch polisher gives better control and concentration on trouble spots.
@apexdetail852 күн бұрын
Good point. A 3 inch would be best in tight areas.

I just recently bought a Hydro Steam Extractor from Bissel ... I'm stocked to test it out on an interor. The Car Cleaning Guru was the one who brought it to my attention. The Combination of a little heat and the sucking Power should work wonders 😁

Looks interesting for using on a polisher, but for use by hand, IMHO a brush would do a much better job at agitating.

I pull the fabric seat out, then I soak them in detergent. Then I blast them with the gerni. Then leave them to dry for a few day before putting them back in.

Hmm, I’ve been using drill brush with microfiber towels. Wonder if this would help speed things up and still look well. I do a lot of interiors but trying to cut down on time.
@apexdetail8513 сағат бұрын
Less chance of fraying the material with these.

Thanks for introducing these pads. Maybe these pads eliminate the need for extraction. I’m curious to know if you would typically prioritize speed and ease above all else when it comes to interior detailing on a wholesale vehicle you intend to sale? Thanks for the post. Cheers.

What I have to keep in mind...and change change of thought and approach. Because the more time you put into these ... the more you are cutting into the profit margin.

Lately I've seen a lot of videos on how they clean fabric seats with polisher. Yes, it may be faster or not.... but this is not the correct way to clean fabric. Every fiber in fabric has a side.... brush is the best way to agitate any fabric back and forth left and right to get the fiber clean in a professional way, hands down. I've been clean fabric for years, couches, carpets, you name it.. machine like that on this type of material it just knotting the fibers
@BillyT5312 күн бұрын
Can you use these on carpets, and if so, what results have you had?
@apexdetail85Күн бұрын
Yes....just have more patience and angle the polisher in different areas or grab a smaller polisher for tight areas.
@owensamuels-h1r2 күн бұрын
Thanks for the great video. Would those pads be appropriate for leather as well?

For leather, I use a Lake Country hybrid wool pad on low speed.

Using a forced rotation or rotary seems to be the only real option. A DA on speed 1 will just stall on every corner and will not be effective.

Agreed

Any major difference/benefit to these pads over a microfiber pad generally used for paint?
@apexdetail85Күн бұрын
The fiber looks different on these....more like a hooked loop. Not sure how that makes a difference.
