Forgot the most i mportant part of workng on your shiit outside. CARDBOARD!. Keeps you drier, and you can hear where the little things land when (not IF ) you drop them.

I wondered if anyone would catch that haha. I was out of grease. Yes, I did grease it but it was a couple hours later after I ran to the store.

It's easier to push the caps on if you take a grease zerk out of the universal, then put it back in after assembly.

Excessively high air suspension will cause poor driveline angles that destroy universal joints, at that location especially. Check your front drive axle angle compared to the second drive shaft from the front. Anything over 3 degrees difference will cause that universal to fail. 2.375" to 2.750" clearance between the front passenger bump stop and the axle is recommended by Freightliner. Adjust your suspension leveling valve to get the correct clearance. I have a 1996 FLD120 and just put in 3 new driveshafts because of this problem. Check both your slip yolks for play as well, they can cause vibration. Mine has Robmar full fenders too.
