The problem with investing businesses in the Philippines is the 60/40 split requirement. Requiring any business setup in the Philippines to be 60% owned by Filipinos. As an american, I can tell you this does not sit well with Americans. The average company from the USA is not going to invest money in putting in business in PH to have it ran by someone other them them self. Seriously why would anyone invest 100% into something to only have 40% control of it. Its stupid.

its already 100% owned for some areas especially in the public utilities since 2023 among this are in the energy sector, water supply, transportation, sea ports. They are now working on the manufacturing and education area.
